A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words (Or, Exactly Fifty): Although It Wasn't Really What She Thought It Was ,Why Argue?

What I see: A yacht with a crane attached to the top.
What I feel: STARTLED, because it did look like a rifle for a second... had I been through a mass violence situation...

“Look – I'm not going on that – don't you see that machine gun thingy at the top?”

Life after a mass shooting had come to Loretta's workplace … the media had gone on, but picking up the pieces was hard.

Loving husband John bought an Amtrak summer pass instead.

Quite sad! Sometimes, memories seem to have an everlasting grip on us that it impedes us from doing certain things in the future.

I guess that's life for you.

It is sometimes ... but if we love people who have been hurt, we walk with them lovingly ... so those two will enjoy a summer riding the Amtrak trains and seeing the country that way... it is sad, but there is a little happiness in the ending...

Such an impact will not easily leave. Sailing might be a better choice but I would love that Amtrak pass too. John understands, his love can be felt.

Thanks for joining.

You're welcome!

Machine gun you say... massive death that would be

It would be ... which is why the wife said no, even though that thing is actually a crane!

I don't blame Loretta, no one is comfortable with violence.

That was the idea behind the post ... we understand where Loretta is coming from...
