The Road of Chivalry
In the good old days, a bridge over a dry riverbed was all a knight needed to fulfill his duty with the sword, protecting pilgrims and merchant gold from any potential hiccup. Fame or tournaments didn't matter.
This is a lovely use of the prompt. It paints a vivid picture of many medieval book stories with movie adaptations. Well done!
