Everybody wants to win first prize in every competition, even when they have a competitive opposition. There is usually just a little difference between the winner and the runner up, a little preparation, planning and strategy.
I remember all our parents tell us they came first in their class, if this is true, then i wonder who came second. It's not always about the prize, the prize is just an encouragement for dedication and courage. The purpose of the competition or whatever is done is more important than the prize, focus on the essence of the thing than the aftermath.
