Hacía un día precioso en el parque. El sol se filtraba entre las hojas de los árboles, creando sombras moteadas en el suelo. Un hombre decidió dar un paseo por el parque y disfrutar del paisaje.
Mientras caminaba por un sendero que se alejaba de la zona principal, vio a un anciano sentado solo en un banco muy cerca de un lago que parecía un espejo, mirando atentamente su mapa estelar y comiendo una ensalada de frutas que parecía estar muy apetitosa.
-¡Hola! -le dijo alegremente el hombre mientras me acercaba a él. -¿Qué hace? –Le preguntó.
-Estudio astrología, intento averiguar cuándo será la próxima vez que algunos de estos cometas sean visibles desde la Tierra. –Respondió el anciano señalando su carta.
-¡Ah!, "¿Qué tipo de cometas? –Expresó el hombre, interesado en lo que decía.
-¡Bueno! -Empezó diciendo el anciano.
-Hay uno que se acerca ahora mismo: ¡un cometa que lleva más de 50.000 años orbitando alrededor de nuestro sol! Su máximo acercamiento está previsto para dentro de dos horas. –Respondió el anciano.
Me miró con expectación, así que le pregunté qué más estaba ocurriendo durante ese periodo de tiempo para que mereciera la pena observar ese cometa.
-Nada especial. -Respondió encogiéndose de hombros. -Un día más en la vida.

It was a beautiful day in the park. The sun was filtering through the leaves of the trees, creating dappled shadows on the ground. One man decided to take a walk in the park and enjoy the scenery.
As he walked along a path leading away from the main area, he saw an old man sitting alone on a bench very close to a mirror-like lake, looking intently at his star map and eating a fruit salad that appeared to be very appetizing.
-Hello!" the man said cheerfully as I approached him. -What are you doing? -he asked.
-I study astrology, trying to find out when some of these comets will next be visible from Earth. -The old man replied, pointing to his chart.
-Ah, "What kind of kites? -said the man, interested in what he was saying.
-Well! -said the old man.
-There's one coming right now: a comet that has been orbiting our sun for more than 50,000 years! Its closest approach is scheduled for two hours from now. -The old man replied.
He looked at me expectantly, so I asked him what else was going on during that time period to make that comet worth observing.
-Nothing special. -He replied with a shrug. -Just another day in life.
