Hace mucho frío acá afuera
mira las luciérnagas
como hacen su danza de luces
en el oscuro cañaveral.
Sí!
Parecen luceros
esas estrellitas diminutas
que alegran el lugar
con su vuelo apacible
como jugando a escapar
porque se esconden
y vuelven a salir.
Ah!
Parecen niños
que corren uno tras del otro
jugando a tocarse
mientras la astucia
protagoniza la acción
nadie quiere ser tocado.
Y si jugamos a la escondidas?
No te diste cuenta
me oculté y no me viste.
Oye! Y cómo?
Sólo cerré los ojos
para esconderme
y no podía verte
pero tú a mi si.

How are you?
It's so cold out here.
Look at the fireflies,
how they do their dance of lights
in the dark cane field.
Yes!
They look like stars,
those tiny little stars
that brighten the place
with their peaceful flight,
as if playing hide-and-seek,
because they hide
and come back out.
Ah!
They look like children
running after each other,
playing at touching each other,
while cunning
takes center stage.
No one wants to be touched.
What if we play hide-and-seek?

to hide,
