My ZAPFIC50 below is a short story told in exactly 50 words. I based this 50-word story on @mariannewest's Freewrite prompt: Zebra Socks. If you'd like to create a regular freewrite from the prompt, you can visit:
Day 1101: 5 Minute Freewrite: Monday - Prompt: zebra socks
The outfit Mrs. Dalton's beloved wore was headed for it's final performance. Signaling time to close, the assistant accepted the package.
"Where's the footwear requested?" the mortician yelled.
A search of the package sent the assistant hurrying to the "Extras" room.
Finished, he stood admiring his work; ZEBRA SOCKS included.

Hi @justclickdiva! Actually, there isn't a weekendzapfic contest running at the moment. I am just having some fun writing some 50 word stories on the @zapfic.club! loved your ZapFic50 story though! :)
I like it too. Great idea of taking the freewrite prompt and making either a zap50 or zap99. It's a nice concept without having to write a full freewrite if you only have a thought about the prompt. I think I'll do more in the future. Thank you so much for your support.
