The deadline to opt out of in-class education arrived.
Half the families in the school district chose distance learning.
The Superintendent underestimated the number of families who took the pandemic seriously.
Consequently, not enough computer equipment was available for students whose families didn't have the resources to purchase any.

These families were forced to send the kids to school for in-class learning. The schools are trying to reassess their decision for next semester. More computers are now being ordered.
I purchased a laptop for my granddaughter to free up equipment for another child. Not many can do this. I wish I had the resources to purchase 100 laptops and printers. Children are also expected to have a printer available. This is not thoroughly planned as it should have been. I feel that this situation will rage into the second semester.
