I think the quail are missing my husband, I only had two eggs and he has been getting 4 a day. I know our granddaughter's dog is missing him. Last night she kept coming up to me and looking at his chair. After thinking about her behavior I now remembered it was the time of night when he gives her a treat. She misses her treat.
My husband usually takes care of the quail but since he is gone, I have been caring for them, they are a lot of work.
I do not know when my husband last cleaned the lids that we keep under their cage for their poo to fall on but they were plain YUCK.
We cut pieces of plastic mesh to put in the cage so they are not walking on wire mesh all of the time, we also lay pieces of cardboard in the cage to give them a little comfort.
I had the inside of the cage cleaned and I walked by in just a couple of minutes, one of them already pooed on the cardboard.
I decided to tackle pressure washing the trailer, I looked down at the trailer and it seems to triple in size. I swear it grew.
I started at the back and went as far as the hose would let me go. I would go on one lane and when I got at the end of the lane I would go up one until I got to the end and kept repeating this. When I got to the top, I got the ladder but while standing on it and looking up I kept getting dizzy and felt like I was going to fall. The top still looks bad but better than it did.
I hit the loose panel near the top and it lifted and I saw a frog jump further up in it. I hit it a few inches away and there was another frog, I am not sure how many are in there.
Sometimes they would jump to the ground making me also jump.

Not sure if you're at the end of the lane or the end of your patience, lol. When my wife was out west helping out my son I busied myself around the house as you are doing. It's the best therapy really, and if you can remain patient you can get a lot done. I did - I know you can too :)
Thank you for stopping by, I appreciate your comment. Yes, the plan is to stay busy so I can sleep at night. I have only spent 2 nights alone since we have been married, 37 years, he was in the hospital. I slept well last night but woke at 5am and could not go back to sleep.

Yes, I am, I still have half of the front to do, but today I have to can some tomatoes, not many but they all wanted to get ripe and without my husband here to help eat them they will rot before I can use them all.
