Socialism: the wrong formula.[Eng-Esp]

El trabajo duro y hosneto siempre fué nuestra principal caracteristica

Socialism: the wrong formula.

I belong to what is now called Generation X, and I must confess that during my first 40 years of life I never heard of these generations. What I did hear from a very young age, almost like a mantra, was that the formula for success was: Study, so that you can be something in life. Work hard, so that you can be successful. For many years, this formula worked in the country. It was like a straight line paved with personal sacrifice. No matter where you came from or what you studied, many of us managed to climb the social ladder.

One day that changed. A shadow began to sweep across our fields, hundreds of Pied Pipers emerged, selling pipe dreams, and people began to use the wrong formula for success. It was no longer about effort, honest work, and preparation; it was the complete opposite. It is a flawed formula that will take centuries to study and will never be explained: a rich nation with a poor people.

Surely some readers will say that we are human, that we are fallible, and that is why we fail when we use recipes or formulas that are obsolete. But we do not only learn from our own experiences; we must also look beyond our comfort zone and see what works and what does not. My greatest wish is that in the coming years we will never repeat the wrong formulas again.

You are absolutely right when you say that there are sinister characters who offer heaven and earth with an ideology that only leads to ruin.
