It was 2002, Cesar was afraid of losing his job, the owner of the company was looking for any pretext to fire the workers without giving them the compensation of the law, he did not know what to do, the salary was barely enough to support his family for that hiring a lawyer was out of his reach. Cesar was self-taught, he had learned many things just by reading books. One day while he was visiting a bookstore, he came across Eugene Petit's Roman Law book and loved it, but he didn't have enough money to buy it so he decided to borrow from a friend. Instead, his friend suggested that he take the entrance exam to law school. Cesar passed the exam without any difficulty and came to study until the fifth semester before he could no longer pay his tuition. Having an excellent GPA, he believed that he could be awarded a scholarship, but the date to enter the university talent pool had already passed. The teacher in charge of the scholarships simply told him:
-You are out of term, we cannot give you the scholarship, but you will learn a valuable lesson, next time you will check the dates to complete the procedures-
In this way Cesar had to leave law school, however he acquired the necessary skills to negotiate, so he reached a good agreement when he was fired.
Sometimes the goals that we propose cannot be achieved due to circumstances beyond our reach, but we must recognize the achievements that have been achieved, first to know how to take advantage of them and secondly because they affect our self-esteem, we must remember that sometimes everything is a matter of self esteem.

Era el año de 2002, Cesar sintió temor por perder su empleo, el dueño de la empresa buscaba cualquier pretexto para despedir a los trabajadores sin darles la indemnización de ley, no sabía que hacer, el salario apenas le alcanzaba para sostener a su familia por lo que contratar un abogado estaba fuera de sus posibilidades. Cesar era autodidacta, había aprendido muchas cosas con solo leer libros. Un día mientras visitaba una librería, se encontró con el libro de Derecho Romano de Eugene Petit y le encantó, pero no tenía suficiente dinero para comprarlo así es que decidió pedirle un préstamo a un amigo. Su amigo en cambio le propuso que hiciera el examen de admisión a la escuela de derecho. Cesar pasó sin ninguna dificultad el examen y llegó a estudiar hasta el quinto semestre antes de que ya no pudiera pagar las colegiaturas. Teniendo un excelente promedio creyó que bien le podrían otorgar alguna beca, pero la fecha para ingresar al grupo de talentos universitarios ya había pasado. La licenciada encargada de las becas simplemente le dijo:
-Estás fuera de término, no te podemos dar la beca, pero aprenderás una valiosa lección, la próxima vez revisarás las fechas para hacer los trámites-
De esta manera Cesar tuvo que dejar la escuela de derecho, sin embargo adquirió las habilidades necesarias para negociar, por lo que llegó a un buen acuerdo cuando lo despidieron.
Algunas veces las metas que nos proponemos no pueden ser alcanzadas por circunstancias fuera de nuestro alcance, pero hay que reconocer los logros que se han alcanzado, primero para saber aprovecharlos y segundo porque afectan nuestra autoestima, hay que recordar que algunas veces todo es cuestión de autoestima.
