Mi bicicleta está triste

Mi bicicleta está triste
porque tiene las llantas dañadas,
en lo plano sube y baja,
en lo alto apenas anda,
y luego por las banquetas
esta toda descuadrada.

A diario la llevo al mercado
a comprar mi mermelada
mis tomates y mis chiles
y un ramo grande de alfalfa
para preparar mis guisos
que son buenos para el alma,
pero para mi bicicleta
ni siquiera un poco de agua
para lavarle los rines
o pa parcharle las llantas
por eso mi bicicleta
esta triste en una rama
esperando que me acuerde
de llevarla a repararla.

Pero este domingo primero
me despierto muy temprano
le compro asiento de cuero
y enderezo lo que falta
pa que sienta que la quiero
y que nunca voy a tirarla.

My bike feels blue

My bike feels blue
because his tires are damaged,
in the flat it rises and falls,
at the top he barely walks,
and then on the sidewalks
it’s all out of square as rocks.

I take her to the market daily
in order to buy some of jam,
my tomatoes and my chilies
and a large bunch of alfalfa
to prepare all of my stews
that are good for the soul and calmes,
but for my poor bike
not even a little water
to wash the wheels as I quote
or to patch the tires at last
that’s why my bike is so sad
forgotten near of a branch
waiting for me to remember
to take it to repair it at least.

But this Sunday my god first
I wake up early in the morning
to buy it a leather seat
and to straighten what is missing
so that she feels that I love her
and that I will never throw it away.
