A new dawn. A new dawn. Now I'm on vampire brain. I think of of those books/movies about the sparkly vampires had dawn in the title. Breaking Dawn? Maybe. I like Kristin whatshername. I thought those books were fine. Enjoyable enough. Problematic? Probably. You know, teen girl, hundred year old boy. Like, even if he still looks like a teenager, it's kind of a problem that he's a hundred and she's an immature teenager. So yeah. And the fact that the books were set in the Pacific Northwest and the author didn't do her research. That bugged me, there was just this one lake that she called Union Lake, but it's called Lake Union. And that would have been the easiest bit of research in the world, just look at a map, so how did she get it wrong? Or did her editors mix it up? Who mixed that up, why, how? So dumb, so simple to fix, so making-it-lose credibility to have it in there. Anyway, where was I? Vampires? Do I still want to write about gutter vampires? I kinda do. Poor gutter vampires, living in the gutters, invisible beneath our feet, so powerful but so marginalized. We'll see. I dunno. I need to write lots of other things before I can write anything that is just a fancy, just a whim. I need to work on that academic lineage project first and foremost, because I have to do research for that, too, and I kind of have a start but my start is not total, I don't know if research I've already done can apply, really, it depends on the topic I choose? I have to make sure they're related and part of the same area of research.
