El campeonato de la fórmula uno es básicamente una competencia entre varias escuderías, cada una contrata a dos pilotos, que tengo entendido, vienen ascendiendo de categorías anteriores, de acuerdo a lo que la escudería quiere van escogiendo. Las otras competiciones no son tan conocidas y vistas como la F1. La competición se hace por diferentes países y circuitos muy variados con estrictas reglas cada una.
El diseño y el modelo de los monoplazas, como se le conoce, han ido cambiando a lo largo de la historia. Sobre todo, la parte estética se nota mucho desde los primeros años hasta hoy en día. Que por estética se ven muy bonitos, pero esa estética tiene un trasfondo, hacer que el carro agarre más velocidad, con el tema de la aerodinámica y las entradas y salidas del viento.
La tracción es trasera, pero también se permite la delantera, las marchas creo que llegan a 7, pero no sé si todas las escuderías cuentan o contaban con ese límite, seguramente algunas tenían menos. El volante también a variado muchísimo, antes era más sencillo, ahora creo que es más cómodo, pero tiene muchos botones que para mí que no corro un f1 puedo decir que es innecesario, pero supongo que cada botón este hecho para algo, no creo que estén de adorno.
Otros avances tecnológicos vienen dados en el material con que elaboran los monoplazas, que supongo vienen más ligeros que antes. Los cascos supongo que también han pasado por un proceso tecnológico, aunque no tanto como el vehículo. Los adornos de seguridad, como le digo yo, también han evolucionado sobre todo el alerón que tienen ahora que los cubre casi que completos y que ayudo a un piloto en una carrera de no hace mucho tiempo a sobrevivir de tan aparatoso volcamiento nada más salir.

The formula one championship is basically a competition between several teams, each one hires two drivers, who I understand, are coming up from previous categories, according to what the team wants to choose. The other competitions are not as well known and seen as F1. The competition is made by different countries and very varied circuits with strict rules each one.
The design and model of the single-seaters, as it is known, have been changing throughout history. Above all, the aesthetic part is very noticeable from the early years to the present day. Aesthetically they look very nice, but that aesthetics has a background, to make the car grab more speed, with the issue of aerodynamics and the entrances and exits of the wind.
The traction is rear-wheel drive, but front-wheel drive is also allowed, the gears I think they reach 7, but I do not know if all the teams have or had that limit, surely some had less. The steering wheel has also changed a lot, before it was simpler, now I think it is more comfortable, but it has many buttons that for me who do not run a f1 I can say that it is unnecessary, but I guess each button is made for something, I do not think they are for decoration.
Other technological advances are given in the material used to make the single seaters, which I guess are lighter than before. I suppose that the helmets have also gone through a technological process, although not as much as the vehicle. The safety adornments, as I say, have also evolved, especially the spoiler they have now that covers them almost completely and that helped a driver in a race not long ago to survive such a spectacular rollover as soon as he got out of the car.
