The Conquest of Mad Science

A sulphurous stench filled the room as the fossil of the ancient dragon was lowered into the vat of enchanted chemicals. Baron Constantine oversaw the process, from archaeological dig to the final resurrection process. He invented the machine himself, powered by the souls of the unfortunate villagers unable to pay their tithes.

Finally, the fossil was fully submerged in the vat, just barely the right size to fit in.

Constantine watched with glee, rubbing his hands together as he waited for his experiment to come to fruition. Assistants nervously looked at one another, their anxiety electrifying the air.

The vat’s wall creaked and groaned, as the magic took hold beneath the surface.

“Yes, yes. It’s working!” Constantine laughed, “It’s working, look what I’ve achieved! My life’s ambition!”

With a great crack, the vat’s walls split open, and the chemicals spilt all throughout the testing chamber. They fizzled and reacted weakly with the dirt of the underground lair, releasing a thick smog that obfuscated the room.

     A roar ignited the air.

“My beautiful creation!” Constantine quickly donned some protective equipment, material that should withstand the creature’s breath.

He stepped into the chamber, protected by barred walls.

“Do not be confused, To’rakshitar, for I, Baron Constantine, have brought you back from death!”
