Me uno con mucho gusto a la iniciativa de @hiveargentina ya que sin lugar a dudas disfruto mucho la lectura desde que tenía más o menos unos 13 años de edad, y si bien no disfruté en ese entonces de los libros que me obligaron a leer siento que de alguna forma u otra eso terminó de sembrar en mi la semilla de la creatividad y el amor por la lectura, déjenme explicarles con más detalle...
I'm happy to join the @hiveargentina initiative because I've undoubtedly enjoyed reading since I was about 13 years old. While I didn't enjoy the books I was forced to read back then, I feel that somehow it planted the seed of creativity and a love for reading in me. Let me explain in more detail...
Cuando era adolescente recuerdo que me obligaron a leer Cien Años de Soledad, algo que debido a mi inmadurez no supe apreciar en ese entonces, el libro me pareció tan complicado y aburrido que simplemente no le presté atención y entregué una redacción hecha a través de escuetos comentarios sobre el libro que escuché de mis amigas, sin embargo algo se me quedó en la mente... ¿Niños con cola de cerdo?... ¿Qué significaba eso? simplemente lo escuché en una reseña oral que estaba haciendo la "Come Libros" de la clase, pero luego de graduarme decidí leer el libro, en esta ocasión por mi propia voluntad y ¡Wow! fue cuando me enamoré perdidamente del Realismo Mágico y de la narrativa de García Márquez, convirtiéndose en un referente para mi a la hora de escribir relatos (He escrito algunos para hive)
When I was a teenager, I remember being forced to read One Hundred Years of Solitude, something I didn't appreciate at the time due to my immaturity. The book seemed so complicated and boring that I simply ignored it and submitted an essay based on brief comments I'd heard from my friends. However, something stuck in my mind... Children with pig tails? What did that mean? I'd just heard it in an oral review given by the bookworm in class. But after graduating, I decided to read the book, this time of my own volition, and wow! That's when I fell head over heels for Magical Realism and García Márquez's narrative style, which became a touchstone for me when writing stories (I've written a few for Hive).

Así que se puede decir que ese libro fue la antesala para lo que venía, luego fue Harry Potter 😍 quedé enamorada del género fantasía y en especial de la magia, pero fue gracias a Harry Potter que yo comencé a dar mis primeros pasos en la escritura, ya que por allá, más o menos en el 2011 o 2012 la comunidad potterhead (así nos llamamos los fans) estaba muy activa en los fanfics o fanfiction (estas son historias escritas por fans, obviamente sin fines de lucro) y entonces me atreví a escribir mi primer fanfic. Al ver que tuvo tan buena receptividad continué escribiendo muchos más, entonces tomé esto como un ejercicio que me permitió definir mi estilo como escritora, de esta manera escribí tres novelas las propias de las cuales solo he podido publicar una "El Reloj Maldito de Güigüe". Por lo tanto puedo decir que J.K Rowling (la autora) me inspiró y Harry Potter fue el libro, o mejor dicho, la saga de libros que se convirtió en la clave de mi parte creativa.
So you could say that book was the prelude to what was to come. Then came Harry Potter 😍 I fell in love with the fantasy genre, especially magic, but it was thanks to Harry Potter that I took my first steps in writing. Back then, around 2011 or 2012, the Potterhead community (that's what we fans call ourselves) was very active in fanfiction (stories written by fans, obviously without any profit motive), and so I dared to write my first fanfic. Seeing how well it was received, I continued writing many more. I took this as an exercise that allowed me to define my style as a writer. In this way, I wrote three novels of my own, of which I've only been able to publish one: "The Cursed Clock of Güigüe." Therefore, I can say that J.K. Rowling (the author) inspired me, and Harry Potter was the book, or rather, the book series that became key to my creative side.

Me gusta leer de todo menos novelas eróticas 😄 respeto los gustos de cada quién pero no son de mi agrado, yo prefiero los libros de terror como Horror en Amytiville (Por cierto, lo recomiendo mucho para quien le guste el género) los de fantasía tipo Harry Potter, Narnia y el Señor de los anillos o las novelas de misterio al mejor estilo de Stephen King (Recomiendo Crhistine) Ahhh pero no puedo negar que mi gusto culposo es Jane Austen, siendo mi favorita Sensatez y Sensibilidad.
I like to read everything except erotic novels 😄 I respect everyone's tastes, but they're not to my liking. I prefer horror books like The Amityville Horror (by the way, I highly recommend it to anyone who likes the genre), fantasy like Harry Potter, Narnia, and The Lord of the Rings, or mystery novels in the best Stephen King style (I recommend Christine). Ahhh, but I can't deny that my guilty pleasure is Jane Austen, with Sense and Sensibility being my favorite.

How do you usually celebrate Book Month?
Lamento decepcionarlos pero no acostumbro celebrar ese día, es que aquí en Venezuela la gente no suele organizar algo especial para ese día, lamentablemente, pero ahora que lo recuerdo, la presentación de mi libro fue casualmente un día del libro, así que fue la mejor celebración.
I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I don't usually celebrate that day. Here in Venezuela, people don't usually organize anything special for that day, unfortunately. But now that I think about it, the presentation of my book happened to be on Book Day, so it was the best celebration.
¿Cuál es tu stand favorito, cuando vas a una exposición de libros?
What's your favorite stand when you go to a book fair?
Cuando voy a una feria de libros me gusta buscar los stand de los clásicos, o de los libros usados, siempre se consiguen cosas interesantes allí.
When I go to a book fair I like to look for the stands of classics, or of used books, you can always find interesting things there.
¿Has conocido personalmente a algún autor? O te gustaría conocer a alguno en particular?
Have you met any authors in person? Or would you like to meet a particular author?
Sí, en una ocasión en que fui con una de mis tías a la FILUC (La feria de libros de la Universidad de Carabobo) mi tía y yo fuimos a una conferencia y conocimos a un escritor de libros sobre educación y pedagogía (mi tía es docente y yo estaba en la universidad en esa época) e incluso me tomé una foto con él, pero si tuviese la oportunidad de conocer a otro escritor me encantaría que fuese J.K Rowling, creo que con ella conversaría horas jaja y pediría muchos consejos, sobre todo porque me siento inspirada ante su entereza y perseverancia.
Yes, once when I went with one of my aunts to FILUC (the University of Carabobo Book Fair), my aunt and I went to a conference and met a writer of books on education and pedagogy (my aunt is a teacher and I was in university at that time) and I even took a picture with him, but if I had the opportunity to meet another writer I would love it to be J.K. Rowling, I think I would talk to her for hours haha and ask for a lot of advice, especially because I feel inspired by her strength and perseverance.
