A Free Bird...

in Blockchain Poets4 months ago (edited)

A free bird leaps
On the back of the wind
And floats downstream
Till the current ends
And dips it's wings
In the orange sun rays
And dares to claim the sky

But a bird that stalks
Down his narrow cage
Can seldom see through
His bars of rage
His wings are clipped
And his feet are tied
So he opens his throat to sing

The caged bird sings
With a fearful trill
Of things unknown
But longed for still
And his tune is heard
On the distant hill
For the caged bird
Sings songs of freedom

The free bird thinks of another breeze
And the fat worms waiting on a bright lawn
And he names the sky his own

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams
His shadow shouts on a nightmare scream
His wings are chipped and his feet are tied
So he opens his throat to sing

Thank you for your time.

My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.

Still me,

My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.

A very eloquent poem about the captivity and freedom of the birds, and that allows us to think about the situation. Very good indeed.

Thank you...deeply appreciated.

I can relate to this, certainly! This is beautifully written, nicely done. One can only hope to escape the cage and fly free yet again.

Have a great day/evening. 😀

Absolutely... Have a great evening 🤗🤗🤗

Very good story, very cool narration of one happy bird and the other sad, very cool analogy, cheers ☺

Thank you so much.

Thank you.

How are you uncle?

Jannneeeyyyyyyy... I am good. Had a good amount of sleep. How are you?

I often feel like the bird, caged and clipped only with song left to sing.

As long as we can sing (see the positives) it's a matter of time before we flap our wings and fly out.

Yay! 🤗
