What Song Makes You Feel Patriotic About Your Country?

in Quello4 years ago

As a Canadian, I'd have to say Northwest Passage by Stan Rogers. It's about the early explorers that were looking for a way acros Canada to reach the Pacific Ocean.

How about you? What song do you listen to in order to feel proud of your country?

They work now. I was using Esteem before and I guess it is a problem with that app. I listened to both of them. They are really good and I am happy to see India develop so much over the years and become a better country. Good luck to India!

When I was living in China, I tried to learn this song hahaha:

My friend showed me it and even though I don't understand what they are saying, I liked it and tried to imitate the guitar and lyrics.

Wonderful to hear, bollywood is being loved all over the world. "Sanam re" was one of the most heard songs in India. If you actually learn to do a guitar cover, you could be successful in impressing a few Indian girls.

Philippines

Dayang-dayang Song

Folk and Novelty Mindanaoan/Visayan songs lits the patriotism inside me.

The cultural value of hearing about the rich and colorful songs made by the older generations cements that people in the Philipines are not savages or monkeys as the colonizers/religious men who first visited the country in between 1500s onwards.

Although living a yet simple life, stll far from other countries' status, the islands of the Philippines is already bursting in rich cultures, traditions, and pre-history, along with the barters, trades and cultural exchange with Arabs, Chinese, SEA kingdoms, Greeks, and many others.

The ancient people who traded/moved to the pre-1500s Philippines respected the people, the society, the culture, and the nobility of those who ruled the people.
