Hola hivers, tengo una emoción y necesito compartirla con ustedes, sin esperar mucho tiempo, y es que el pasado domingo cumplí un sueño, pues fui a una exposición inmersiva del gran Vincent Van Gogh, se llama: Meet Vincent Van Gogh, es estilo inmersiva donde te sumerges en las pinturas o bueno ellas te invaden a ti, es interactiva, puedes dibujar, tocar, escuchar su historia, aprecias toda su travesía como artista la vives en un recorrido emotivo durante una hora aproximada.

Hello hivers, I have an emotion and I need to share it with you, without waiting long, and is that last Sunday I fulfilled a dream, because I went to an immersive exhibition of the great Vincent Van Gogh, is called: Meet Vincent Van Gogh, is immersive style where you immerse yourself in the paintings or well they invade you, is interactive, you can draw, touch, hear his story, you appreciate all his journey as an artist you live it in an emotional journey for about an hour.

La exposición se encuentra en el Parque Bicentenario de Vitacura, Santiago Chile. Me tomó una hora de camino y 2 medios de transporte llegar allí, primero el metro y luego un taxi. La entrada fue previamente comprada a través de la plataforma asignada, yo lo hice apenas se anunció, bueno una amiga lo hizo por mí en su tiempo libre y siempre se lo agradezco pues a veces me cuesta trabajar en esas plataformas (aunque no lo crean). Bueno, una vez llegadas allí, en la primera puerta muestras tu entrada, pasas a una segunda fila, donde esperamos se consolide el grupo de la hora, entramos al parte de recepción, allí verifican la entrada y pase de movilidad, luego te dirigen a un stand donde te entregan unos audífonos con un aparato, era como walkman sofisticado (risas) por donde escuchas los relatos.

The exhibition is located in the Bicentenario Vitacura, Santiago Chile. It took me an hour drive and 2 means of transportation to get there, first the subway and then a cab. The ticket was previously purchased through the assigned platform, I did it as soon as it was announced, well a friend did it for me in her free time and I always thank her because sometimes I find it hard to work on those platforms (believe it or not). Well, once you get there, at the first door you show your ticket, you go to a second row, where we hope to consolidate the group of the hour, we entered the reception area, there they verify the entry and mobility pass, then you go to a booth where they give you a headset with a device, it was like sophisticated walkman (laughs) where you listen to the stories.

Hay salas donde te sientas y admiras como película, escenas de la vida de Van Gogh: las cartas con su hermano Theo, cuando se enamoró, su múltiples viajes, como Johanna Van Gogh-Bonger (su cuñada) decide traducir y exponer todo el arte de Vincent, a ella le debemos tanto, que más adelante les contaré su historia, en una publicación independiente por el crédito que se merece ante su acción, pues ¿qué es el arte si no se comparte?

There are rooms where you sit and admire as a film, scenes of Van Gogh's life: the letters with his brother Theo, when he fell in love, his many travels, how Johanna Van Gogh-Bonger (his sister-in-law) decides to translate and exhibit all of Vincent's art, to her we owe so much, that later I will tell you her story, in an independent publication for the credit she deserves for her action, for what is art if it is not shared?

En la exposición destacan los amarillos de Vincent y sus flores, por supuesto que están sus noche estrelladas, el granero infinito, sus multiples autoretratos, donde me perdé en el azul de sus ojos y me trajo atierra recordando tantos cosas y la razón de mi camino en el arte. Vincent, es el artista al cual recurro con frecuencia, muchas veces para aliviar el tormento propio. Vincent Van Gogh es el artista que me sumerge en sus azules y me seca con sus amarillos, me decora con sus flores y me hace vivir sus texturas.

In the exhibition Vincent's yellows and flowers stand out, of course there are his starry nights, the infinite barn, his multiple self-portraits, where I lost myself in the blue of his eyes and it brought me back to earth remembering so many things and the reason for my path in art. Vincent, is the artist to whom I often turn to, often to relieve my own torment. Vincent Van Gogh is the artist who immerses me in his blues and dries me with his yellows, decorates me with his flowers and makes me live his textures.

Carta: Letter:

Hola Van Gogh o prefieres que te llame Vincent? No sabía esa disyuntiva tuya, me identifiqué, pues también tengo afán de ser conocida por mi nombre. Pero al estar dentro de tus obras en esta oportunidad, sentí serenidad ante eso, te conocí, más que eso Vincent, te viví, me reflejé. Tu mirada de desconcierto con vetas de nostalgia de aquello por alcanzar, del amor y determinación para mostrarle a otros tu visión aunque fuese incomprendida en ese tiempo pero ¿Sabes qué Vincent? En estos momentos lo sigue siendo, o mejor dicho, hay grupos para cada cosa, y si hay uno donde pueden llegar a comprenderte, de hecho, te estudian, emulan y admiran.

Hello Van Gogh or do you prefer to be called Vincent? I did not know this dilemma of yours, I identified myself, because I am also eager to be known by my name. But being inside your works in this opportunity, I felt serenity before that, I knew you, more than that Vincent, I lived you, I reflected myself. Your look of bewilderment with streaks of nostalgia of that to reach, of love and determination to show others your vision even if it was misunderstood at that time but you know what Vincent? Vincent Van Gogh, I want to tell you that all your effort was worth the madness, there are many of us who dream and live by the stars, your stars. The bright sunshine of your yellow is incomparable, inspiring, so much so that it became one of my favorite colors, first because I think it suits everyone, second because it vibrates me, I feel special wearing it, in fact, for our date, I made myself a blouse, I paraded it and modeled it in all your pictures present, I am your sunflower.

Gracias a esto, gracias a ti Van Gogh, recordé por qué empecé en la costura, siempre quise vestir cuadros, a mi manera y aquí estoy con lo que tengo haciendo lo que el corazón me grita. Tengo la misma duda que muchos: si la obsesión del arte es locura o enfermedad. Lo cierto es cómo dices tú: "Las pequeñas emociones son las grandes capitanas de nuestras vidas y las obedecemos sin saberlo". "Más vale ser atrevido aunque se cometan muchos errores que ser estrecho de mente y demasiado prudente".

Thanks to you Van Gogh, I remembered why I started in sewing, I always wanted to wear paintings, in my own way and here I am with what I have doing what my heart screams to me. I have the same doubt as many: if the obsession of art is madness or illness. The truth is as you say: "The small emotions are the great captains of our lives and we obey them without knowing it". Mi primer encuentro contigo no lo recuerdo, pero si se que en mis tiempos como galerista un gran artista a quien llevo en mi corazón, me regalo tu libro, no solo con tus cuadros, tu biografía y cartas, en él había tu interpretación de ese amarillo de tus girasoles y desde entonces es una herramienta para levantar mi energía hacia lo vibrante, brillante y positivo.

I don't remember my first meeting with you, but I do know that in my time as a gallery owner, a great artist whom I carry in my heart, gave me your book, not only with your paintings, your biography and letters, in it there was your interpretation of that yellow of your sunflowers and since then it is a tool to raise my energy towards the vibrant, bright and positive.

Ahora que estoy recordando, tus azules también me llenan de nostalgia, no se si por mi profundo extrañar del mar o porque tu película llamada Cartas a Theo, llena de azules, la vi con un amante, mejor dicho un amado, esos de los que te rompe en mil pedazos el alma, la vida, la mente y el corazón, pero aún así lo recuerdas con la ternura e intensidad que te brindó en su momento. Hoy casualmente me desperté con esa sensación de vacío y la incertidumbre de que tal vez no me vuelva a enamorar mas, no así, pero como de costumbre volví a ti, con esta tarea pendiente y me diste esta frase: "Es bueno amar tanto como se pueda, porque ahí radica la verdadera fuerza, y el que mucho ama realiza grandes cosas".

Now that I'm remembering, your blues also fill me with nostalgia, I don't know if it's because of my deep longing for the sea or because your movie called Letters to Theo, full of blues, I saw it with a lover, better said a loved one, the kind that breaks your soul, your life, your mind and your heart into a thousand pieces, but you still remember him with the tenderness and intensity that he gave you at the time. Sé que realizaré grandes cosas porque puedo reconocer mi amor por ti, por los atrevidos en este mundo (ingrato por momentos) llamado arte, porque amo ver la sonrisa la sonrisa de los espectadores con la sensibilidad por las obras. Amo mi talento, mi locura por despertar e impulsar el arte de todos, creo fielmente que cada uno lleva su oreja de Van Gogh esperando ser honrada.

I know I will do great things because I can recognize my love for you, for the daring in this world (ungrateful at times) called art, because I love to see the smile of the smiles of the spectators with the sensitivity for the works. I love my talent, my madness to awaken and promote the art of all, I faithfully believe that everyone carries his Van Gogh's ear waiting to be honored.

Y entonces tú me respondes: "Más vale ser atrevido aunque se cometan muchos errores que ser estrecho de mente y demasiado prudente". Así decidí atreverme más, olvidándome de perfecciones y prudencia, pues tú me dices: "¿Qué sería la vida si no tuviéramos el valor de intentar cosas nuevas?" aquí estoy soltando mis medios, atreviéndome a escribirte esta carta, en la locura de creerme tu girasol, con un mar de sueños por vivir.

And then you answer me: "It is better to be daring even if many mistakes are made than to be narrow-minded and too prudent". Si quiero agradecerte por ese amarillo vibrante, por las texturas que me recuerdan lo relevante del tacto en las manos amadas. Te agradezco por ser el atrevido, invasivo y gentil en mi historia como artista. Por tu disciplina y perseverancia a pesar del mundo, la humanidad.

Vincent, Van Goh, I won’t promise you anything else, because I have already fulfilled the most desired one. I dreamed, I believed, I did and I got it, to be my canvas in your works. I do want to thank you for that vibrant yellow, for the textures that remind me of the relevance of touch in the beloved hands. I thank you for being bold, invasive and gentle in my history as an artist. For your discipline and perseverance in spite of the world, humanity.

A ti hiver que me lees, si llegaste hasta aquí, también te agradezco, si estas en Chile visita la exposición estará hasta el 18 de agosto. Las fotos son registro personal.
