Before reaching the center of San Martino di Castrozza, coming from Fiera di Primiero, turn right, continue and gradually leave the houses behind to dive into a beautiful natural setting made up of wide meadows and beautiful snow-capped mountains in the background.

Prima del centro di San Martino di Castrozza, provenendo da Fiera di Primiero si svolta a destra, si prosegue e progressivamente ci si lascia alle spalle le case per tuffarsi in un bellissimo naturale fatto di ampi prati e sullo sfondo bellissime montagne innevate.

In a couple of hours walking calmly we did the tour and stopped to have lunch in a beautiful place that I also recommend for the good traditional dishes that they offer such as Casunzei all'Ampezzana which are like ravioli with speck, melted butter, smoked ricotta and poppy seeds.
The restaurant is called Hotel Maso Col.

In un paio d'ore camminanto con calma abbiamo fatto il giro e ci siamo fermati a prenzare in un bellissimo posto che consiglio anche per i buoni piatti tradizionali che proopongono come i Casunzei all'Ampezzana che sono tipo dei ravioli con speck, burro fuso, ricotta affumicata e semi di papavero.
Il ristorante si chiama Hotel Maso Col.

We took advantage of the time to reach a more open point to photograph the mountains at sunset with the peaks tinged with colors ranging from orange to purplish red...beautiful!

The paths are so icy! Dangerous hike but spectacular surroundings.

Yes, it is a path to do absolutely with crampons. Just think that the next day in the newspaper, I read that a hiker, the same day I made the excursion, slipped several meters in the same area, getting very badly hurt.
