Dear friends, on April 8, 1843, La Colonia Tovar was founded in the Aragua State of Venezuela. It is a population made up of German immigrants who came to the country at the initiative of Agustín Codazzi, Martin Tovar and Manuel Tovar, to found 2,200 meters of land above sea level.
Today is 178 years old, this beautiful town is the Capital of the Tovar Municipality, through time all buildings and customs are allusive to its homeland.
Its main economic activity is agriculture and tourism, visiting it is a great privilege.
Queridos amigos, el 8 de abril de 1843 se fundó La Colonia Tovar en el Estado Aragua de Venezuela. Es una población formada por inmigrantes alemanes que llegaron al país por iniciativa de Agustín Codazzi, Martin Tovar y Manuel Tovar, a fundar a 2200 metros de terrenos sobre el nivel del mar.
Hoy cumple 178 años, esta bella población es la Capital del Municipio Tovar, a través del tiempo todas edificaciones y costumbres son alusivas a su tierra natal.
Su principal actividad económica es la agricultura y el turismo, visitarla es un gran privilegio .

To get to this wonderful place you can do it by land from Maracay or Caracas by private vehicle, or by public transport, which is taken from the passenger terminal of the city of Victoria and in the yaguara in Caracas. The approximate distance is 70 km and the trip lasts 1h 30 min.
Para llegar a este maravilloso lugar lo puedes hacer vía terrestre desde Maracay o Caracas en vehículo particular, o por transporte público, el cual se toma desde el terminal de pasajeros de la ciudad de la victoria y en la yaguara en caracas. La distancia aproximada es de 70 Km y la dura el viaje 1h 30 min.

I have had the good fortune to visit the Tovar neighborhood on both routes and the landscaping and the enjoyment is very gratifying, the climate is mountain so there are good fruit crops such as: strawberries, peaches almost all year round. , peaches, and vegetables broccoli, zucchini are observed during the tour.
He tenido la dicha de visitar en varias ocasiones la colonia Tovar por ambas rutas y el paisajismo y el disfrute es bien gratificante, es el clima es de montaña por lo que se dan en casi todo el año bueno cultivos de frutas como: fresas, duraznos, melocotones, y vegetales brócoli, calabacín se observan durante el recorrido.
Upon arriving at the town, you walk through its streets and visit the emblematic places such as the Church, square, parks and even the Cemetery that is in the center of the town and you can taste pleasant meals and desserts such as: the German sausage hot dogs and the Strawberries with creams are also a maker of craft beers and the Tovar brand is my favorite.
The attention for the people of Tovar is very particular, they provide you with quality in all its aspects, for them the visitor has great importance since they live from tourism and from the sale of their agricultural products.
Al llegar al pueblo se recorren sus calles y se visita los lugares emblemáticos como la Iglesia, plaza, parques y hasta el Cementerio que está en el centro del pueblo y se degustan de agradables comidas y postres como: los perros caliente de salchicha alemana y las fresas con cremas también son fabricante de cervezas artesanales y la de marca Tovar es mi favorita.
La atención por los tovareños es muy particular ellos te brindan calidad en todo sus aspectos para ellos el visitante tiene gran importancia ya que ellos viven de turismo y de la venta de sus productos agrícolas.

My last visit was in 2018 and my children enjoyed it to the fullest, I hope this rude pandemic ends and I can go to this town and continue enjoying its wonders.
Mi última visita fue en el 2018 y mis hijos lo disfrutaron al máximo, espero que termine esta ruda pandemia y poder ir hasta esta población y seguir disfrutando de sus maravillas.
