Es un tipo de fuente hidrotermal que emire una columna de vapor de agua caliente, y por eso da el efecto de fumarola, tal como en las fotos, la peculiaridad del Tatio es que tiene aproximadamente 80 activos, el agua a esta altura tiene su punto de ebullicion un poco mas bajo a unos 86 grados centigrados, el deposito de agua esta dentro de rocas volcanicas, de hecho se pueden apreciar varios volcanes cerca. Creo que esto es una experiencia imperdible y si tienen la posibilidad de visitarlos lo hagan, las fumarolas se van calmando luego de las 9 AM debido a que la temperatura del lugar comienza a subir por lo que se recomienda llegar al lugar antes de esta hora.
Ademas de este increible fenomeno, puedes apreciar diversidad de fauna y flora en el lugar y sus alrededores, el camino esta lleno de animales y variados paisajes.
