Hello travel lovers. When I was in Banda Aceh last week, I was there for almost two weeks, of course, I did a lot of activities there. Apart from working on a video project but I had the opportunity to take some photos to document my trip. I had the opportunity to visit a port during my time there. Currently, the port is very crowded in the morning before dawn.
View of Mountain, sea, and Mosque
The city is surrounded by the sea that is connected to the Indian Ocean, so we find many fishing activities in this city, in 2004 there was a tsunami that caused the death of millions of people. However, now the city of Banda Aceh has quickly recovered. When we are in this city, it is as if we forget the memory of natural disasters that have happened before, a beautiful city. Blue views of the sea and the mountains make us feel at home forever. From the beach, I waited for the sun to rise behind a high mountain. We called that Gunong Seulawah and that name was used on a plane belonging to the people of Aceh in the past that is Dakota RI-001 Seulawah
I didn't wait that long for the sun to come up because I got there just in time before the sky turned red. When I got to the Port I went straight to the beach and looked for a shooting position so that the photos I took would come out perfect. I didn't go alone but I was with @benk07 and he was a Co-Pilot Drone. When the sun became visible behind the mountain, I immediately tried several shots and then chose the best ones. After photographing the sunrise, I pointed the lens at an island, and there too has its own beauty from a distance. Using a 70-300mm lens made it easy for me to capture distant subjects.
View from the front of the tower Masjid Raya Banda Aceh. This mosque is a building that was built in 1612 and is now an icon of the city of Banda Aceh.
Fishing Boat Activities at the Harbor
Before dawn, the fishermen headed out to sea by boat. There are several types of boats they use, from small to slightly large, and each one has a different mileage. Motor boats used by fishermen to fish are usually only around the shoreline. When the sun shines, the fishermen return to the dock and bring their catch to sell or distribute at the fish stalls.
The view of Lampulo Fish Harbor
This port in Lampulo Banda Aceh looks very busy in the morning because it is a place to load and unload ships when they are anchored. here it is also a place of transactions between sellers and buyers of fish. So, whoever wants to buy fish comes here because we can get fish that has not been preserved. But when you're here there's something that bothers you about the smell because here it smells like fish. That's not a problem because this place is not a place to relax.
We mention TPI Lampulo. This port was opened in 2014 and is now a fish trading market in the city of Banda Aceh. You can see dozens of ships every day docking and unloading at this port because the port of Lampulo is right in front of the Indian Ocean and the Straits of Malacca.
Usually, fishermen have the right time to catch fish in the sea because not all seasons get abundant fish. So they have to understand the weather conditions before they start fishing.
This is @benk07 preparing the drone to shoot some video footage.
