Un desierto en la avenida. / A desert in the avenue.
Estaba yo un 9 de octubre de 2021 preparando todo para salir al terminal de pasajeros de Barquisimeto, donde junto a mi hermano y unos amigos iríamos a conocer un lugar no reconocido a nivel turístico en el estado.
On October 9, 2021, I was preparing everything to go to the passenger terminal in Barquisimeto, where, together with my brother and some friends, we were going to visit a place that is not recognized as a tourist destination in the state.
Así fue como terminamos en el municipio Jiménez del estado Lara para conocer el pequeño desierto de Quíbor.
Esta región del estado es conocida a nivel nacional por su artesanía, principalmente realizan piezas en barro, pero también se pueden encontrar otra variedad de tallados en madera y tejido. Aquí aprovechamos para conversar con los artesanos y apreciar su labor.

This is how we ended up in the Jiménez municipality of Lara state to visit the small desert of Quíbor.
This region of the state is nationally known for its handicrafts, mainly clay pieces, but you can also find a variety of wood carvings and weavings.Here we took the opportunity to talk with the artisans and appreciate their work.
Después de unos minutos de espera llego nuestro amigo guardaparques que es oriundo de Quíbor, él era quien haría de guía turístico.
After a few minutes of waiting, our friend, a park ranger from Quíbor, arrived and acted as our tour guide.
Desde la avenida La Rotaria se ve un lugar árido con muchas "barrancas", pero una vez que comienzas a adentrarte en esas tierras amarillas todo cambia. Grandes paredes de barro se erigen dándonos la bienvenida a este lugar único en el estado.
From La Rotaria Avenue you can see an arid place with many "ravines", but once you begin to enter these yellow lands everything changes. Large mud walls rise up welcoming us to this unique place in the state.
El sol estaba un un punto bien alto por lo que nos llenaba de su energía y nos quemaba al mismo tiempo, pero eso no detuvo la exploración ni la capacidad de sorprendernos con cada detalle que aparecía ante nuestros ojos. Por ejemplo, estas caracolas que estaban regadas por todas partes y también estas personitas hechas de barro ¿Las ven?
The sun was at a very high point so it filled us with its energy and burned us at the same time, but that did not stop the exploration and the ability to surprise us with every detail that appeared before our eyes. For example, these shells that were scattered all over the place and also these little people made out of mud.
Por supuesto que todos estábamos emocionados tomándonos fotos en cada rincón y mi hermano me tomó algunas con su teléfono Xiaomi POCO x3 pro que tiene una cámara increíble de 48MP.
Of course we were all excited taking pictures of each other in every corner and my brother took some of me with his Xiaomi POCO x3 pro phone which has an amazing 48MP camera.
Tambien nos tomó esta foto y un par más a mis amigas y a mi. Por fin coincidíamos las tres en un mismo viaje y sin importar nuestras "fachas" se convirtió en mi foto favorita. Por cierto que aquí esta @tsunsica sentada en la parte del frente.
He also took this picture and a couple more of my friends and me. Finally the three of us were on the same trip and regardless of our "facades" it became my favorite photo. By the way, here is @tsunsica sitting in the front.

Continuando con el viaje, mientras echábamos cuento con el guía acerca del lugar y de los diferentes proyectos que tienen desde el grupo de guardaparques para hacerlo un punto turístico del estado con la idea de resguardarlo, el día se estaba nublando sacándonos pronto de allí. Así fue como emprendimos nuestro camino para agarrar un autobús de regreso a Barquisimeto.
Continuing with the trip, while we were telling the guide about the place and the different projects that the park rangers have to make it a tourist spot in the state with the idea of protecting it, the day was getting cloudy and we were leaving soon. That was how we started our way to catch a bus back to Barquisimeto.
Este fue un viaje de exploración increíble en un lugar el doble de increíble que nos hizo sentir todo el tiempo en un país árabe, era difícil creer que estábamos en Venezuela y es que si, este país tienes regiones y paisajes tan diferentes entre si que nunca terminamos de descubrir.

This was an incredible exploration trip in a place twice as incredible that made us feel all the time in an Arab country, it was hard to believe that we were in Venezuela and yes, this country has regions and landscapes so different from each other that we never finished discovering.
