Review of the great Abraham Hostel, Eilat, Israel
Hello to all my dear hivers in the Pinmapple community, it's a pleasure to be around for another day!!!
This time I bring you a post quite different from what I have been sharing with you, and it is a review of Abraham Hostel in southern Israel, Eilat.
As you may have seen, most of my photographic and audiovisual archive consists of natural, public, open spaces, since that's what I like to do when I travel: walking and discovering that new place.
Every now and then I take the occasional photo of meals and almost never record the accommodation where I stay, unless I take a very specific photograph for a specific purpose. Apparently that doesn't motivate me too much.
However, this hostel was crying out for me to take pictures. I took far fewer than the place suggested, but I think they are very representative, and today I bring them here so that you can also know why it was so important for me to expose this place at some point.

Esta vez les traigo un post bastante diferente a lo que vengo compartiendo con ustedes, y se trata de una reseña sobre el Hostel Abraham en el sur de Israel, Eilat.
Como pueden haber visto, la mayor cantidad de archivo fotográfico y audiovisual consiste en espacios naturales, públicos, abiertos, ya que es lo que más me gusta hacer cuando viajo: caminar y descubrir ese nuevo lugar.
Cada tanto tomo alguna que otra foto a las comidas y casi nunca registro el alojamiento donde me quedo, salvo que tome alguna fotografía muy puntual para un fin específico. Aparentemente eso no me motiva demasiado.
Sin embargo, este hostel me pedía a gritos que tomara fotos. Tomé muchas menos de las que el lugar sugería, pero creo que son muy representativas, y hoy las traigo para que ustedes también puedan saber por qué era tan importante que en algún momento expusiera a este lugar.
Location
This is one of the key features when booking accommodation. In this case, the Abraham hostel is located about 5 minutes walk from the small center of Eilat and about 12 minutes walk from the Red Sea.
As soon as you arrive at the Red Sea, you will find the surrounding esplanade full of shops on your left and to the right and a few meters away, there is a shopping mall.
In addition, it is about 11 minutes walk from the bus station.
This makes it an excellent location.
Ubicación
Esta es una de las características fundamentales al momento de reservar alojamiento. En este caso, el Abraham hostel se encuentra a unos 5 minutos caminando del pequeño centro de Eilat y a alrededor de 12 minutos caminando Del Mar Rojo.
Ni bien llegas al Mar Rojo, encuentras la explanada que lo rodea y que está repleta de locales a tu izquierda y a la derecha y a pocos metros, hay un centro comercial.
Además, está a unos 11 minutos caminando de la estación de buses.
Esto hace que su localización sea excelente.
Pricing
With an approximate rating of 8.7 taking into account different tour companies, the Abraham Hostel currently costs around USD 30 per night, but apparently I was quite lucky, as I got USD 24 per night, having paid something like ILS 340 total for 4 nights and 5 days.
USD 30 is quite a lot, but at the time when I paid 24, it didn't seem expensive at all, since the hostel, more than hostel level, had the appearance of a hotel, and an excellent one at that.

Con una puntiación aproximada de 8,7 teniendo en cuenta diferentes empresas de turismo, el Abraham Hostel actualmente tiene un costo de alrededor de USD 30 la noche, pero aparentemente tuve bastante suerte, ya que a mi me salió USD 24 la noche, habiendo pagado algo de ILS 340 el total por 4 noches y 5 días.

Services and facilities
The hostel was a huge building with different levels where the rooms were located, in a central body. Then, the building extended to one side where the immense dining room was located, with a very clean and perfectly equipped kitchen so that the guest could cook comfortably.
Many months and chairs of different colors and shapes invited to sit, to work, to eat something, to contemplate or to listen to some music.
Nearby, one could see the dining room where breakfast and lunch were served. Breakfast cost something like 30 ILS (about USD 8), which was very expensive, but in their bufet style, they offered everything: different kinds of bread, fruits and vegetables, dressings, sauces, pastries and other sweet things, and more. So with that money, you could easily take some things for lunch or snack, which was something that all the people there did.

El hostel era un edificio enorme con diferentes niveles en donde tenían las habitaciones, en un cuerpo central. Luego, la edificación se extendía hacia un costado donde se e encontraba el inmenso comedor, con la cocina sumamente limpia y perfectamente equipada para que el huésped pudiera cocinarse con comodidad.
Muchas meses y sillas de diversos colores y formas invitaban a sentarse, a trabajar, a comer algo, a contemplar o a escuchar un poco de música.
Cerca, se veía el comedor en donde servían el desayuno y el almuerzo. El desayuno costaba algo de 30 ILS (unos USD 8), lo cual era muy costoso, pero en su estilo bufet, ofrecían de todo: diferentes tipos de pan, frutas y verduras, aderezos, salsas, bollería y otras cosas dulces, y más. Por lo que con ese dinero, fácilmente podías tomar algunas cosas para el almuerzo o merienda, que era algo que toda la gente de allí hacía.
Another thing that this hostel offers is a divine patio with a swimming pool! I could not believe it when I saw it! I have only seen three hostels with a pool in my life, one in Punta del Este (Uruguay), another one in Barcelona (Spain) and the other one is this one.
But it wasn't just the pool, it was the patio where the pool was. With a bar, with games, with spaces to sit. Although I believe that in square meters the pool area was not so big, the way it was designed and ornamented, offered the impression of a larger area, as if it was spacious.
Otra cosa que ofrece este hostel, es un patio divino, que tiene piscina!! No podía creerlo cuando lo vi! Solo he visto tres hostels con piscina en mi vida, uno en Punta del Este (Uruguay), otro en Barcelona (España) y el otro es este.
Pero no era solo la piscina, sino el patio en el que la misma estaba. Con una barra, con juegos, con espacios para sentarse. Aunque creo que en metros cuadrados no era tan grande el área de la pileta, la manera en que estaba diseñada y ornamentada, ofrecía la impresión de un área más extensa, como holgada.
Regarding the rooms, excellent. They give you a magnetic key (i.e. a card), which you use to enter and leave the room. It is important not to put this card together with your cell phone, as it loses its magnetism. That happened to me a couple of times.
I stayed in a 4-person room and in 4 nights, all the guests rotated. I had male roommates, all very nice and one of them I had met in Tel Aviv during my volunteering.
The bathroom was normal size, and everything worked perfectly. The bed was very comfortable and the room temperature could be regulated. It had a huge window that although it did not offer a landscape like the sea, it offered an incredible and very beautiful light.
Con respecto a las habitaciones, excelentes. Ellos te dan una llave magnética (es decir, una tarjeta), que utilizás para entrar y salir de la habitación. Es importante no juntar esta tarjeta con el celular, ya que pierde el magnetismo. Me pasó eso un par de veces.
Me quedé en una habitación de 4 personas y en 4 noches, todos los huéspedes rotaron. Me tocaron compañeros hombres, todos muy amables y a uno de ellos lo había conocido en Tel Aviv durante mi voluntariado.
El baño era de tamaño normal, y todo funcionaba a la perfección. La cama era muy cómoda y la temperatura de la habitación se podía regular. Tenía un ventanal inmenso que si bien no ofrecía un paisaje como decir: al mar, brindaba una luz increíble y muy hermosa.
Personal
The people who worked at the hostel were extremely friendly and always willing to help. Even I dropped my Yoga mat to a place where I could not access, because I hung it in the balcony window one afternoon, at night the wind blew and the mat fell, and very kindly went to look for it at that place.
Both at breakfast and in general, they always smiled and offered excellent treatment.
Personal
Quienes trabajaban en el hostel eran sumamente amables y estaban dispuestos a ayudar siempre. Incluso a mi se me cayó mi Yoga mat a una parte a la cual no podía acceder, porque lo colgué en la ventana del balcón una tarde, a la noche corrió viento y la colchoneta se cayó, y muy amablemente fueron a buscarla a ese sitio.
Tanto en los desayunos como en general, siempre sonreían y ofrecían un trato excelente.
Negative aspects
The only thing I didn't like too much was that there were a lot of children in the hostel. They ran everywhere, made noise, played. But this was not a permanent thing and I am really just mentioning it to comment on the only thing I didn't like, because my experience in that hostel was impeccable.
Aspectos negativos
Lo único que no me gustó demasiado es que había muchos niños en el hostel. Corrían por todos lados, hacían ruido, jugaban. Pero esto no era algo permanente y en verdad lo estoy mencionando como para comentar lo único que no me encantó, porque mi experiencia en ese hostel fue impecable.
