Hello friends, Welcome to my second day in Turin, and today in this post I will tell you about my experience at the cinema museum which is located inside the iconic Mole Antonelliana, I think one of the most important monuments of the city of Turin and also one of the best known in the world.
I basically visited this museum because it was included in the Torino card, a card that is valid for a certain number of hours. In my case, I bought the 72-hour one and it gives you the chance to practically visit almost all of Turin's museums for free. I paid around 46 euros for it, but in the end I saved money because if I counted every single ticket for each museum it would have cost me a lot more. Let's start with the assumption that I'm not a huge movie fan, but my curiosity was mainly to see what was inside the Mole Antonelliana.
The National Cinema Museum is one of the most important in the world and they say that there are more than 2 million pieces including film posters, costumes and in short historical equipment and indeed there were so many things to see, even if the exhibition didn't really drive me crazy, the museum explains a bit about the birth of cinema, the first technologies, the sets. In special effects, however, I didn't find it that interesting, eh, the immersive election list part, the giant screens seemed like something old, something that was created years ago and then never brought up to date. In fact, even the last part, which was the one that interested me the most, was completely closed.
Let's say that the panoramic lift would have been interesting, which is not included with the Torino card and therefore you pay for the ride separately, but there would certainly have been the possibility of seeing a beautiful panorama of the whole of Turin. The only problem is that practically the reservations for access to this lift had already been sold out for several weeks and I realised this when I arrived inside the museum.
If you want to visit it without a paper card you have to spend about 18 euros and it takes about an hour to visit. In my opinion, in my opinion it is not a monument to visit at all costs if you visit Turin but if you are a cinema enthusiast. Maybe it is very interesting, this is my opinion.
