It’s a pleasant day, dear Hivers and @worldmappin fam! Today, I’m taking you to one of my favorite island destinations. My previous blog featured a spot in the Philippines, but this time we’re heading to Germany.

As I mentioned before, this island truly captured my heart. There’s a certain magic in this beautiful place — Lindau Insel in Germany.

So, when you’re ready, keep on reading and join me as we explore it together. I showed you before what the island and harbor look like, and it’s definitely a magical place to see. Now, I’ll be taking you to the same area, but this time to the inner part of the island. We went here during an event that happens only once a year in the summer. There were people everywhere—live bands, aerobatic shows, and lots of beer stalls where you could order drinks and food. There were also tents with chairs where people could sit, relax, and chat with friends while enjoying their cold beers. The island was so lively!
As soon as we arrived, we looked for my boyfriend’s brother and his friends. I met them and had some good conversations. After that, my boyfriend and I started exploring the island together, looking for a spot where we could enjoy the music with a beer.

We first watched the performance of one of our friends who was doing an exhibition or aerobatics show. They were really cool, and they executed everything so well! It was super amazing! Everyone enjoyed the performance, and the crowd gave them a big round of applause.

After watching, we started walking around to look for something to drink. One cool thing was that when you buy a glass of beer, they give you a small plastic token. You need to return it when you want to order again. I think it works like a deposit system—similar to sari-sari stores in the Philippines where you pay a deposit for the soda or beer bottle.

We ordered two beers for both of us, and then we saw a small food stall selling sausage sandwiches, so we tried them too. They tasted so good! We were walking while eating, but after a few minutes I told him if we could stop for a moment because I can’t enjoy my food while walking. So we finished our sandwiches first, and then continued strolling around the island, checking out different things.

A lot of people were exploring the area, so we decided to escape the busy part for a while and walk to the other side of the island, where it was quieter and more peaceful but still within Insel, but with fewer crowds.

We noticed that some stores were already closing since most people were heading to the party rather than shopping. This area was absolutely beautiful! The buildings had that traditional German style, with designs and structures that really show how much they value and preserve their culture to this day. We enjoyed strolling through this quieter side until we finally decided to head home since it was already late and we were getting tired.

There were so many people around, each with their own vibe and energy. It was such a fun day, and I’m really happy I got to experience this kind of event on their island.

This is definitely one for the books and the experience I will never forget!
So I hope you get to like this mini adventure in a small island in Lindau, Insel. I’ll catch you on my next blog!🫶
