A big greeting friends of HIVE, I want to share with you today a little bit of a trip I made with my family and friends to a beautiful town in the state where I live.
This town is called Araya, in the state of Sucre. Rich in beaches, salt flats, mountains and with many places to visit and enjoy. Playa del Castillo, Punta Colorada, and the boulevard are my favorites. It also has friendly and hardworking people, they live from fishing, diving and one or two stalls of delicious empanadas, liquor stores and clothing stores.
This trip was a bit exhausting, since in order to get transportation we had to get up at 5 in the morning to arrange everything and have it ready, wait for the man who was going to take us to the terminal to arrive and make sure nothing was left behind! At least it was a success, when we arrived we were one of the first to board the little boat that would take us to our destination. The truth was a daring thing to do because the boat was carrying more than 20 people and was only running on one engine, and a 15 minute trip turned into a half hour one. But looking at the bright side, we were able to enjoy the scenery, since we not only have sea on all sides, but we were able to observe the beauties that Manicuare, Punta Araya, and other villages that are in the municipality Cruz Salmerón Acosta, those waters are from another world!
Un gran saludo amigos de HIVE, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un poco de un viaje que hice con mi familia y amigos a un hermoso pueblo del estado donde vivo.
Este pueblo se llama Araya, en el estado Sucre. Rico en playas, salinas, montañas y con muchos lugares para visitar y disfrutar. La Playa del Castillo, Punta Colorada y el bulevar son mis favoritos. También tiene gente amable y trabajadora, que vive de la pesca, el buceo y uno que otro puesto de deliciosas empanadas, licorerías y tiendas de ropa.
Este viaje fue un poco agotador, ya que para conseguir el transporte tuvimos que levantarnos a las 5 de la mañana para arreglar todo y tenerlo listo, esperar a que llegara el hombre que nos iba a llevar a la terminal y ¡asegurarnos de que no quedara nada! Al menos fue un éxito, cuando llegamos fuimos de los primeros en subir al barquito que nos llevaría a nuestro destino. La verdad fue un atrevimiento porque el barco llevaba más de 20 personas y sólo funcionaba con un motor, y un viaje de 15 minutos se convirtió en uno de media hora. Pero viéndolo por el lado bueno, pudimos disfrutar del paisaje, ya que no solo tenemos mar por todos lados, sino que pudimos observar las bellezas que Manicuare, Punta Araya, y otros pueblos que están en el municipio Cruz Salmerón Acosta, ¡esas aguas son de otro mundo!

When we arrived at our destination, we were surprised to find that there was no transportation to take us to my grandmother's house. We had to walk with all the things we carried, because that's another one haha, anyone who saw us thought we would stay at least for a week, and we only went one day for another, why did we carry so much? First the thermos with filtered water, because water is scarce there, and we did not want to end up with the little water that can be collected in the houses there. And the rest was part of our clothes and part of the decoration for my cousin's birthday celebration.
We made it, after so much, and one of the things I do not like about that town, is the sun and few places where you can rest and take a little shade, thank God we distributed things well and we could get home quickly. Without exaggerating, it is about 2k from the terminal to the house. We finally arrived at the house, we arranged everything and sat down to rest and hydrate. Then it was time to light the firewood to cook lunch. My dad and my boyfriend took care of that, and we were in charge of chopping the vegetables for the stew.
After so many things we could all sit down to enjoy a delicious paella, a traditional meal in our country Venezuela. This consists of rice mixed with sea creatures (mollusks), in this case we only made it with rice, turkey wing and crabs, a delight.
Cuando llegamos a nuestro destino, nos encontramos con la sorpresa de que no había ningún transporte que nos llevara a casa de mi abuela. Tuvimos que caminar con todas las cosas que llevábamos, porque esa es otra jaja, cualquiera que nos viera pensaba que nos íbamos a quedar por lo menos una semana, y sólo fuimos un día por otro, ¿por qué cargamos tanto? Primero el termo con agua filtrada, porque allí el agua es escasa, y no queríamos acabar con la poca agua que se puede recoger en las casas de allí. Y el resto era parte de nuestra ropa y parte de la decoración para la celebración del cumpleaños de mi primo.
Lo logramos, después de tanto, y una de las cosas que no me gusta de ese pueblo, es el sol y los pocos lugares donde se puede descansar y tomar un poco de sombra, gracias a Dios distribuimos bien las cosas y pudimos llegar rápido a casa. Sin exagerar son unos 2k desde la terminal hasta la casa. Finalmente llegamos a la casa, acomodamos todo y nos sentamos a descansar e hidratarnos. Luego fue el momento de encender la leña para cocinar el almuerzo. Mi papá y mi novio se encargaron de eso, y nosotros de picar las verduras para el guiso.
Después de tantas cosas pudimos sentarnos todos a disfrutar de una deliciosa paella, una comida tradicional en nuestro país Venezuela. Esta consiste en arroz mezclado con criaturas del mar (moluscos), en este caso solo la hicimos con arroz, pepitonas y cangrejos, una delicia.

These beaches are beautiful, the water is crystal clear, it is not freezing cold like some beaches in the state, and you can enjoy it peacefully.
Estas playas son hermosas, el agua es cristalina, no está helada como algunas playas del estado, y puedes disfrutarla tranquilamente.

The next day, we woke up at 6 am, not because we wanted to, but because we had to do the same procedure as the day before, to get everything ready to leave, except that we did not leave so early, we took some time to talk, and cook breakfast and lunch.
Al día siguiente, nos despertamos a las 6 am, no porque queríamos, si no que teníamos que hacer el mismo procedimiento del día anterior, acomodar todo para irnos, a diferencia que no salimos tan temprano, tomamos un tiempo para hablar, y cocinar el desayuno y el almuerzo.
