Hi All! Last week I had the chance to stop by Valley View Farms located at 11035 York Rd in Cockeysville, Maryland 21030. My husband and I were in the area and they were due to open in fifteen minutes so we figured that we would stop in since I've mentioned before on posts about their Christmas displays.
This wasn't a planned trip and we were on a time constraint but I tried to get as many photos as possible within that time. They do put on a very nice Christmas display. I would say that soon they will become extremely crowded at night and on the weekends but this is 2020 and we (like probably many on here) just got hit with more restrictions due to covid so I'm glad we got to stop in when we did.
This place has an almost magical feel to it. When I was very little I remember they had little mirrors hanging down from the ceiling. I assume they put them up on panels and it was really pretty. It still is pretty just different now. One thing I did notice was the absence of some very large decorated trees but possibly they weren't done putting everything up or, with covid, they've scaled things back a bit.
There were little and medium sized decorated trees on top of most of the shelving units and in these cute cut-out cubby holes.
There were so many kinds of ornaments too! Another thing that I noticed since I was last here, during this time of year, is that a lot of ornaments were being sold separately. One of my favorite things that I bought here many years ago was a package of four little birds with tinsel tails.
I love the porch mats in the next photo!
Sometimes it is nice to just look around and know that you really don't need anything but if something catches your fancy then you are certainly open to the idea of purchasing it. I was here for the looking more than the purchasing as I have so much already as far as Christmas decorations. I did see a thing or two that did tempt me though ... lol!
If you need to add to a village and or train display then they have plenty to choose from in that department. At least three walls were lined with displays and boxes of little houses and such both with lights and without.
Here are just some of the toppers for the top of your tree. They had other kinds as well spread throughout the store.
Uh oh! Did somebody mention ribbon?! 'Cause they have lots and lots of ribbon to fancy up your presents and wreaths and such! Lol..the lighted balls overhead remind me of giant gum drops!
They had all kinds of snowmen and Santa's and elves!
My favorite thing to see though were the Nativity displays. The first one below was an extremely large display which was outside. The ones below that were inside.
Speaking of outside, let's check out there. Now they have an outside that is enclosed and not enclosed. Here, you can tell that they were still working on getting more "stuff" set up.
In this enclosed area there were more artificial trees and displays along with wreaths, evergreen swags, runners, bows and tiny trees!
Just look at how pretty these Poinsettia's are!
They had lots of other pretty plants and flowers too ...
... including many orchids and Bonsai trees ...
... and so so many different kinds of succulants!!
Alright, let's take a quick peek on the real outside. I say quick because it was a little chilly this day but I didn't come this far not to show you just a little more!
They did have some pumpkins and squash still. The area behind the first photo below is where they will have the live Christmas trees when they come in.
Time to check out the big pond and then I will be done. To get to the pond we have to walk through the "Fish House". The "Fish House" is where they would keep the Koi and toads/frogs that they sell but this late in the season almost all of the tanks were empty. Anything left was half price and I felt so sad for these five Koi. I sure hope someone bought them and gave them a good pond home.
This is the big pond! It looks so much smaller without all of the foliage in bloom around it. I wondered if they keep the Koi in there all winter but I would guess they do. My husband said that it is a lot deeper than it looks. We also spotted holding tanks in an open building near the pond. I know that they've had the pond and the Koi for a very very long time and know how to keep them safe so I'm not worried since Valley View Farms is known for their ponds and Koi care among everything else garden and plant related.
My last photo! I gotta' show the whirlygigs! I love how the one with the different colored shovels resembles Christmas bulbs!
There you have it! As always, thanks for joining me and hope you enjoyed (as much as I did) my visit to Valley View Farms ~ Holiday Edition! 😊
Now, it's really my last photo!

So joyful and festive is your post, Dee.
Christmas displays in shops are wonderful and definitely make the spirit bright despite all the problems with the covid.
I love browsing in such shops and even not thinking of buying anything or just few bits, I would end up with full basket LOL.
Thank you so much Neli!! Christmas lights are my favorite to see during the Holidays. I feel like they make the world a little brighter if only for a little while. I did pretty good and only browsed but I was tempted by a couple of items..lol. 😊
This place is wonderful Dee.🌲 One could spend a long time enjoying all the displays. The nativity scenes are always a favorite and the trees are decorated so nicely. Love the whirlygigs.💖

Thank you very much Jo!! I wish we hadn't been on a time constraint but it was still very nice to stop in and see the displays. 🙂 💕
Awesome MarketFriday post, @deerjay. I love a big nursery with lots of beautiful seasonal decor. We have some like that near me. You have inspired me to go and capture them!
Thanks so much @jayna!! It is always fun to check out the local nurseries and I hope you get to visit the ones near you and get lots of photos! 🙂
Muy buenas fotografias se ven exelentes los objetos navideños, gracias por compartir.
Thank you very much @prm4031!! 💖
I really like those pastel lighted balls. What a beautiful place in general! Fantastic post and beautiful photography. I felt I was there. Photo porn (but not porn, just beautiful objects and lights, trees, e.t.c)
Thanks so much @chelsea88!! I do love seeing Christmas lights and they are probably my favorite Christmas decor (anything that lights up). My family use to laugh about how many lights that I would have on my tree. I sadly haven't put a tree up the last two years but I still love seeing them. I just loved those colorful "gum" balls also. 😊💕
