I laughed at the 'former race car drivers' part. Hahahaha! Interesting way to describe them, and yes I agree!

Thank you for showcasing the south. Cebu, in general. Cebu is the best, haha! I dont know if I'm biased but Cebu is diverse — the bustling city, the mountain peaks, and beaches from every corner. Much love for the Sugbo ❤️

Hehehe in fairness, the main bus lines are behaved and their road speed are tracked and controlled, but there are others that gave me a scare. I took buses to go to Carcar in many occasions and twice, I regretted taking a certain bus line. I thought to myself, "Kuya, I still want to live" 😂 I have avoided it since.

I saw your blog thumbnail on Twitter & just had to come over here to check out your post! I do have to say though that I honestly had a hard time reading it - I was too distracted by your gorgeous photos! 😂

In all seriousness though, wicked amazing post and I'm glad you got carried away and this was the result!. And that video - from underwater, to up in a plane, not to mention those waterfalls - wow, wow, WOW! Some day, I hope to get the opportunity to travel to South Cebu (and the Philippines in general) to see this awesomesauceness in person!

Speaking of traveling, I couldn't help but think you might be interested in the latest monthly contest by @yourtop3 (although I selfishly almost don't want you to enter because I don't think I can compete with what you'd come up with...lol!). Here's the link in case you want to check it out, and you have until the end of the day on the 9th to submit your entry.

Thank you so much Traci for your lovely message and for your support. 😃 Wishing you the same, I would be so happy for you to visit South Cebu and the Philippines. It struck me recently, I have been blogging about past trips when right outside our door is a tropical paradise. Thank you for the contest suggestion and link, I will check it out.

Hello Arni! Ahhh...Cebu, where our minds and hearts dwell! Any tourist who happens to visit this magical island would immediately fall in love with the place. I just can’t get enough of this piece of paradise with her beautiful sights, tastes, and sounds. No wonder a lot of foreigners made Cebu their home in the Philippines. Thank you for inspiring us to travel again!😁

Yohann and I were instantly drawn to Cebu on the first visit and then we kept coming back after that. The next thing we know we were here with all of our stuff, haha. My siblings continue to visit whenever they have vacation leaves They really like spending time here. If it weren't for the pandemic, we were supposed to celebrate Christmas here all together at home this year. We'll see how things go.

In my eyes, you’re officially a Cebuano already Arni, and that counts Yohann as well. I look forward to conversing with both of you speaking the dialect fluently...haha 🤣

And I’m really glad your siblings love Cebu too. Welcome to the bisaya family! 👍

Thank you so much Erne, you made me happy with your message. Kinahanglan ko to up my game when it comes to speaking fluent Cebuano. Ganahan ko gyud makasulti og maayo. 😄

Wow you’re learning fast Arni! Can’t wait to speak to you in person with the Cebuano dialect.

And by the way, congratulations for also making it to one of the top features of travel digest!! Lipay kaayo ko para nimo! 😊🤗 Have a beautiful day! ☀️

Salamat kaayo, wishing you a lovely Tuesday!

Awesome! 🤩🤩🤩

I need to start planning my visit there very soon! 😄

I missed everything there in the south. My workmate said that we need to secure a tourist pass from the municipal hall if we wanted to visit. However, she said they're very selective of tourists to be allowed. Like there's this family from Talisay City and they were not given a tourist pass because Talisay City has high Covid cases. I'm afraid I'll encounter the same scenario because Mandaue City also has high number cases. I'll just observe until next month. Haha

Hi Kim, thank you 😊. @iamyohann and I wish you could travel here soon. It would be nice to finally meet you in person. Thank you as well for this helpful travel information in securing tourist passes. There were several tourists from the city this weekend. It feels good to see more people around.

Soon! I'm excited to meet you all there. Sounds like a vibrant community you have. I'm still trying to figure out stuff at work. Once this is over, I'll drag my new recruits. We'll have a meet up there.

I really miss the beach! Although I have been to Moalboal twice, I have no decent photo to share.

Nice, looking forward to meet everyone. Beach meet up in Moalboal, sounds perfect!

Absolutely breathtaking landscapes. Putting Cebu on my travel list right now! :)

Hi @phortun glad to hear you made Cebu a part of your travel list 😀

Wow! This makes me really miss going south of Cebu. I want to go back to Osmena peak and Moalboal. I think I'm going to check out the restaurants you mentioned as well. Those food look really delicious! I haven't been to Sumilon Island but I've really wanted to go. That gyrocopter ride looks fun. Is it expensive though?

These restaurants in Alcoy-Dalaguete have sort of become a tradition whenever we were showing people around and they're perfect for families and groups of friends. The portions are generous and most of the time we have leftovers that we take home which are well enjoyed for our next meal. Here's the link for the gyrocopter ride. There's an ongoing bring a friend to gain discount promo at the moment. Thanks Glebert for reading and dropping by.

Las fotos están bellisimas!! Que lugar !!

Muchas gracias @yorlyscott! 🙂

The Osmena peak trail looks incredible. Like out of a movie or something. Those coves and waterfalls as well look amazing. That meal looks like a feast! I bet the full crab was delicious. I haven't had crab in forever.

Hi @leaky20, I was surprised the first time I have seen it. It's a short 30 minute hike up. The flora changes as you ascend through the hills of Mantalongon, very different from ours down in the valley along the coast. The weather change is refreshing and it's a great escape from the humidity below. There is a camping ground here for those who want to stay overnight and there are other lesser known peaks and trails that are worth checking out.

Awesome. That sounds very cool. Its good to get out of the humidity as well. I prefer a dry heat personally.

Aww..nice !! You reminds me of Cebu, I stayed there for a couple of months and love it so much-the best city in Philipines :)) Thanks for sharing 😍

Thanks @trangbaby, glad to know you had a wonderful vacation here.🙂

That blue water just looks so inviting!

Hi @laurabellamy, during sunny days the water is as clear as this and one could see the bottom. After 10 meters (on average) from the shore is a big drop down to 45 meters + which makes it ideal for scuba dive learning. Thanks for dropping by.
