We have already known some of the most popular beaches in Venezuela, but the one we always usually visit is Medina beach, here you can find surprising and very interesting corners.
This beach is very beautiful with warm waters and moderate waves, however the water has a current due to the local wind, which is characteristic of the area, so it is perfect for practicing sports such as kitesurfing.
For me one of the best beaches. I hadn't been in many years, this time I think it had a little more waves than normal but it's still nice and well maintained.
The people who live there have organized themselves to make tourism the livelihood of their daily lives, for this they offer a good menu of typical meals based on seafood, mainly fresh fish. They also sell handicrafts, sweets and tropical drinks.
One of the best beaches in the world, I will never get tired of visiting that beach, the only thing I see as a bit exaggerated is the price of food in restaurants.
Medina is a beach that is in a cove to the north of the Paria peninsula. My family and I travel by car approximately 75 kilometers from home to get there, the whole journey is an adventure because we cross plains with incredible vegetation and then high hills from where you can see the Caribbean Sea.
It is impossible for the rocky mountains to go unnoticed, our stop in them is always for two reasons: one for the photographs and second so that our little car rests from the multiple efforts it makes in the immense hills that must be crossed to find this paradise. earthly almost virgin.
Venezuela was blessed with its geographical location: hurricanes hardly pass through the territory and thanks to the subequatorial climate, the temperature does not fall below 20 and does not rise above 27 degrees throughout the year.
The rules are the rules and otherwise you cannot be here if you do not comply with them, in fact, many people love this place because all the workers feel committed to the beach and want their visitors to have the best impression of it. .
The following poster shows in Spanish the rules for visitors:
- No loud music
- No fireworks
- It is not possible to camp, except with agreed prices
The price charged is for maintenance of the place. The price per person is $1.
The coconut palms that sway freely pushed by the sea breeze, make the place a great environment. People can circulate freely but with some care because the coconuts fall and can cause serious injuries to people or vehicles.
For this previously mentioned, the guides watch the people so that they circulate through safe places among the coconut trees.
The beach offers easy accommodation in comfortable chalets with organic, rustic yet sophisticated architecture, built in perfect harmony with nature. These houses have one or two levels, two bedrooms with comfortable beds, two bathrooms, air conditioning, spacious interiors and capacity for up to 8 people. They are sold in packages that include accommodation and food. It is a privilege to live the experience of sleeping in the hammocks placed on their balconies so that guests can enjoy the Caribbean sunset and the ecological magic of the beach.
Playa Medida has a wide area of sand, which tourists use to practice beach sports such as volleyball, soccer and beach racket. A small, very friendly fishing village witnesses the sonar of its waves. They provide tour services in small boats to get to know the surroundings and other neighboring beaches such as "Pui Puy", "Los cocos", etc.
Sunset
Sunset has arrived on our beloved beach, it is that time of day when it is coming to an end and many of us reflect, meditate and do a brief mental review of how the day has been.
For us as a family it is a sacred moment, between the shadow produced by the sun hiding between the mountains, the waves like curtains that unfold and the slight breeze we say goodbye longing to return soon to this magical place.
Thank you very much for joining us on this trip, I would like you to have the opportunity to visit it one day. Luck!!
