A trip in which I slept a mountain more than 2000 meters high!

Good morning everyone, this will be the story of the trip I had and I camped in a Montana at a height of more than 2,000 meters above sea level.

A friend and I ventured to the cold tourist city of Merida for a week, we chose two days to execute the camping mission. The day arrives, we take a bus to drop us off in the nearest town on the Musui mountain, then with a 4x4 it leaves us standing in Montana, a place where there are a couple of houses. And the climbs begin before the steep slope, they were perhaps 300m of difficult ascent that puts you to the test physically, after overcoming that section, the ground is more uniform and makes everything easier.

On the way he got us a little black dog, which came over, we made love to him and came up with us, the funny thing is that I was behind my friend and the dog was waiting for me and my friend was not hahaha. After maybe a couple of hours going up, we arrive at a piece of land which has access to some hot springs. In that land we put our camping tents, in that location we chose a place that had side walls, only two, made of stone to serve as a windbreak, or at least a little. And we began to collect wood or logs and dry manure from wild horses that were there, to make the fire for cooking and for the night

A clear sky is shown to be at that height, incredible, many stars. It is a pity that the cameras were discharged because of the cold that night that I cannot show them photos.

In the middle of the night, we couldn't sleep, too cold, so we got out of the tent, lit the fire and made coffee with chocolate, in those instances that drink was the most healing in the world.

Then at dawn after those incredible landscapes and knowing all that nature, the descent began again to return to the center of Mérida, happy for having fulfilled that mission.

Unfortunately today I write this and that was the last backpacking trip I did, since after 2017 there are more and more barriers due to institutional failures in the country and an inflation of more than 2000%, that is, a trip of Backpacking can be very expensive ...
But I hope to return very soon to have these adventures that make you feel alive, and I recommend them to others to stop being afraid and take a risk that it is worth living!

Being prepared for the cold night at least you enjoyed coffee and chocolate to warm you up while watching the nigh sky.

Being out with stunning views is something we should be doing at least once or twice a year, back to nature @feiderman

Thanks for sharing and hope you get to go soon again!
