Hello friends. I have mentioned before that I like to visit museums. I visited this museum during my Karaman trip 3 days ago. In my previous post, I tried to show the historical remains outside the museum. In this content, I will show different items that have witnessed the history in the museum. While doing this, I will try to explain my comments about these items.
Merhaba arkadaşlar. Müzelere gezi yapmayı sevdiğimi daha önce dile getirmiştim. 3 gün önce gerçekleştirdiğim Karaman gezisinde bu müzenin ziyaretlerinde bulundum. Bir önce ki paylaşımım da müzenin dışındaki tarihi kalıntıları gösterme gayretine girdim.
Bu içeriğimde ise müzenin içinde bulunan tarihe tanıklık etmiş birbirinden farklı eşyaları göstereceğim. Bunu yaparken bu eşyalar hakkında yorumlarımı anlatmaya çalışacağım.
The first visual of my museum tour content is handmade knitting. I think that these knitted items are generally worn as ornaments on the walls. Especially the tassels on the lower parts make these ornaments look more beautiful. And underneath it maybe some kind of boat that has defied years. I've heard that this boot was called sandals in ancient times.
Müze gezisi içeriğimin ilk görseli el yapımı örgüler. Bu örme eşyalar genel olarak duvarlara süs eşyası olarak takıldığını düşünüyorum. Özellikle alt kısımlarında bulunan püsküller bu süs eşyalarının daha güzel görünmesini sağlamakta.
Ve altında belki yıllara meydan okumuş bir tür bot var. Bu botun eski zamanlarda çarık olarak adlandırıldığını duymuştum.
In another image, you see a tool called a mortar that allows solid food to be crumbled. I think they may be giving us messages from the food culture. Today, especially in Anatolia, these mortars are still used. Other than the mortars, items similar to drums caught my attention, but frankly, I couldn't make sense of that item.
Bir diğer görselde dibek adı verilen katı yiyeceklerin ufalanmasını sağlayan aleti görüyorsunuz. Yiyecek kültüründen bizlere mesajlar veriyor olabileceklerini düşünüyorum. Günümüzde özellikle Anadolu da hala bu dibekler kullanılmakta.
Dibeklerin dışında davula benzer eşyalar dikkatimi çekti ama açıkçası o eşyaya bir anlam veremedim.
A collection of people drawn on stone, resembling a family photograph. I want you to look carefully at these images, which I think are the remnants of a highly developed society, especially in the field of sculpture. It reminded me of today's photos. Of course, it is an indisputable fact that it is more permanent than a photograph.

Sanatın özellikle heykel alanında çok gelişmiş bir toplumun kalıntısı olduğunu düşündüğüm bu görsellere dikkatli bakmanızı istiyorum. Bana günümüzün fotoğraflarını andırdı. Tabi ki bir fotoğrafa göre daha kalıcı olduğu tartışmasız bir gerçek.
Three-dimensional image of people made of stone. These sculptures are apparently dismembered and put together. As far as I understand, these are the people who held the power at that time. By power, I don't mean just being a sultan, I think maybe a scientist, maybe a famous warrior. Yes, these sculptures are broken, but even the fact that they survived until this period is very important to me.
Taştan yapılmış insanların üç boyutlu görüntüsü. Belli ki parçalanmış ve birleştirilmiş bu heykeller. Anladığım kadarıyla bu kişiler o dönemlerde gücü elinde bulunduran insanlar. Güçten kastım sadece padişah olmak değil, belki bir bilim adamı belki de ünlü bir savaşcı olabileceğini düşünüyorum.
Evet parçalanmış bu heykeller ama bu döneme kadar kalmış olması bile bence çok önemli.
The animal image on the stone caught my attention. What does an animal statue with 3 heads tell? Or how did three animals come together? These sculptures really make me think a lot.
Taş üzerinde bulunan hayvan görseli çok dikkatimi çekti. 3 tane başı olan bir hayvan heykeli acaba neyi anlatıyor? Yada üç hayvan üst üste nasıl gelmiş?
Gerçekten bu heykeller beni çok düşündürüyor.
Where is Manazan? Who is Manazan beautiful? Again, I encountered a surprising situation. A human from 1150 AD. I was really curious about this and asked the officer there. He answered me as follows: There is a cave in Karaman, and this cave is very cold and never sees the sun. Years ago, they went there to be used as a granary and found this human body there. Due to the cold, his hair, which was not completely lost like other corpses, still remains. His feet are still clearly visible.
Manazan neresi? Manazan güzel kim? Yine şaşırtan bir durumla karşılaştım. MS 1150 yılından kalma bir insan. Bunu gerçekten çok merak ettim ve oradaki görevliye sordum. Bana şu şekilde cevap verdi: Karaman'da bulunan bir mağara var ve bu mağara çok soğuk ve hiç bir zaman güneş görmüyor. Yıllar önce tahıl ambarı olarak kullanılması için oraya gidilip orada bu insan cesedini bulmuşlar. Soğuk olması nedeniyle diğer cesetler gibi tamamen kaybolmamış saçları hala duruyor. Ayakları hala net olarak belli.
You will now see an old door. I think this door is from very ancient times. But the paint still looks alive, I think it's because of the colors they obtained from nature at that time, not artificial paint.

When I saw the handmade food bowls, I involuntarily wondered how they made such durable tools under the conditions of that period. Even today, many items that are made can break out of the blue, but what kind of material do they put in them and make them stronger?

I get happy when I see different plates and different kinds of ewes.

What about handmade sculptures used as ornaments? They created human-like shapes from small stones.

Küçüçük taşlardan insanlara benzeyen şekiller çıkartmışlar ortaya.
Crests and symbols. It is possible that there was an army in the military sense at that time as well. This army also had ranks. You see the symbols that I think represent these ranks. Perhaps the symbol of the state at that time.

Coin collecting can be a hobby for many of us. In this museum, there was a section with old coins. I had the opportunity to examine these coins in detail from behind the glass. I had no doubt that money had existed for centuries. My opinion on the matter is clear: money is definitely one of the things that has undergone the least change over the years. I just notice that the numbers and symbols on it have changed.
Para koleksiyonu bir çoğumuzun hobisi olabiliyor. Bu müzede eski paraların bulunduğu bir bölümde vardı. Bu paraları detaylıca camın arkasından inceleme fırsatı buldum. Paranın yüzyıllardır varlığından zaten hiç şüphem yoktu. Şu konudaki düşüncem net : yıllarca değişime en az uğrayanların başında kesinlikle para geliyor. Sadece üzerindeki rakam ve sembollerin değiştiğini farkediyorum.
I can understand from these perches that the art of ornamentation was also developed in ancient times. There are different shapes on each perch. The colorful stance of these perches is as important as their durability.
Eski dönemlerde süsleme sanatının da gelişmiş olduğunu bu ıbrıklardan anlayabiliyorum. Her ıbrığın üzerinde farklı şekiller yer alıyor. Bu ıbrıkların rengarenk duruşu da yine sağlamlığı kadar önemlidir.
This time behind the glass, I noticed the coffee pot and the cup. I realized that the coffee culture also dates back to ancient times. I had read somewhere that especially Turkish coffee dates back to the sultans period.
Camın arkasında bu sefer cezve ve fincanı farkettim. Kahve kültürünün de çok eski dönemlere dayandığını anladım. Özellikle Türk kahvesinin padişahlar dönemine dayandığını bir yerlerden okumuştum.
Rifles, which we call firearms from war tools. These rifles were also shapes that caught my attention.
Savaş aletlerinden ateşli silah diye tabir ettiğimiz tüfekler. Bu tüfekler de dikkatimi çeken şekilleri oldu.
I don't know if he is hanging out with cows or camels, but it is clear that he is hanging out with cattle. Huge bells. I think these bells, which are in the form of necklaces, were made so that the animal would not be lost.
İneklere mi takılıyor develer mi takılıyor bilmem ama büyükbaş hayvanlara takıldığı net belli. Koskocaman çanlar. Kolye şeklinde olan bu çanlar hayvan kaybolmasın diye yapıldığını düşünüyorum.
People like to decorate since ancient times. Especially women always have a desire to wear jewelry. Historical jewelry in the museum reveals that women have always had a passion for jewelry. Among these jewelry, the fez caught my attention. There were a lot of stamps in the fez.
Eskiden beri insanlar süslenmesi severler. Özellikle kadınların takı takma hevesi her zaman vardır. Müze de tarihi takılar kadınların her dönemde takı hevesi olduğunu ortaya koyuyor. Bu takılar arasında fes dikkatimi çekti. Fesde bir sürü pul vardı.
Finally, I want to show you the gas lamps. Although they are different in shape, their function is to illuminate the same darkness.
Son olarak gaz lambalarını göstermek istiyorum. Şekil olarak birbirinden farklı olsalarda işlevleri aynı karanlıkları aydınlatmak.
As I conclude my tour of Karaman Museum, I would like to say that I think that museums must be visited. Even if we see it behind the glass, it can arouse different emotions in us. Maybe I can't pick it up and touch it, but it can take me to the past, albeit briefly.
Karaman Müzesi gezi içeriğimi sonlandırırken müzelerin mutlaka gezilmesi gerektiğini düşündüğümü söylemek istiyorum. Camların arkasında da görsek bizlerde farklı duygular uyandırabiliyor. Belki elime alıp dokunamıyorum ama beni geçmişe kısa da olsa götürebiliyor.
