Mini zoo in Đurđevac & museum

in Pinmapple3 years ago

Hi, in one of our previous posts we wrote about our little journey in Đurđevački sands and this one is a continuation of that journey.
After the desert we visit the mini zoo in Đurđevac and museum. They are just few minutes driving with car from desert, located in city Đurđevac. The zoo and museum are in same area of town.

Mini zoo

The zoo is very small and there is not so many animals.

This donkey was the first animal that we visit. It is been a while when we last saw a donkey, he just stood there and looked at us few times.

After few minutes his friend came to make him company in eating I guess.

In this part of the zoo together with the donkey were goats, pigs, some birds that we didn't know the name and a little pony.

Goats were too far so we couldn't take a close photo of them.

This pig didn't even react to our presence.

The birds with no name. ( If you know the species let us now in comment ).

Cute black and white pony.😊

In next part of the zoo we saw peacocks.

They didn't show us their glamorous tail, but the colors of their feathers are really beautiful.

Right next to peacock in small stable were a mother pony with her baby.

We think that he was scared of us because he didn't move much so we just took few photos and went to see other animals so he can enjoy with his mother.

Quack-quack little duck.

Duck was looking very calm, we could approach it in small distance and take a nice photo.

img_20210424_155303.jpg
There are also llamas. One run right next to us but we weren't so fast in catching a photo of him.
They are really fast, luckily they didn't spit on us.😂

This zoo is actually known because of camels. There were a few of them.

img_20210424_155044.jpg

Also they are huge. They have one or two humps.

img_20210424_155139.jpg

We pet the camel and the fur was woolly. She looked at us when we pet her and that was one of the most exotic looks we ever saw.

img_20210424_155247.jpg

Eyes of camel were very attractive.

After few days we saw on internet that camels in zoo got the baby camel.

Museum

We visited a museum called Museum of city Đurđevac. The museum have two parts, one is a part of Leonardo da Vinci miraculous devices and the second is a history of city Đurđevac and gallery of Zdravko Šabarić.
For every part you need to buy a ticket, but we got a student discount (it is nice to be a student when you got discounts almost everywhere 😉 ).
First we entered the Leonardo da Vinci part, where we saw some of his master works.

I've always wanted to free myself from the shackles that tied me to the ground - to master the air and take off.
The same as a bat, a man is also a mammal. Unlike the man, the bat mastered flying. For a man to fly, he must become like a bat. A bat's wing is not feathered as in bird, but is completely covered by a thin leather coat, which is a good model for the wing of the flying machine.

Leonardo da Vinci

He wanted to fly so much, I think he would be surprised to see the airplanes and helicopters that we have today.

Leonardo drew a spiral screw, with a metal edge and a linen cover, about five meters in diameter. That's exactly how he applied the helicopter principle. He thought the screw coated with fabric could be moved by four men standing on the platform and running in circles. His discovery could not be implemented because he did not have a metal that would be light and stable but at the same time also powerful enough to lift a larger mass into the air. The blueprint remained only theoretical.
It took another 450 years to build the first helicopter.

The second part of the museum is cultural.

When the camel looks at you, she looks so sweet!:)

Sweet and cool look in camel eyes. They have this gentle look that really took our breath away.
