I always wondered what people actually need in order to be happy and leave behind the stress? Because lately, from what I noticed there are lots of people who opt in to spend some days in the mountain resorts out there, but without having a proper plan about it. Most likely, just spend the free time doing nothing.
Happily or not, I and my family were never like that. We always spend as little time as possible at the hotel meaning only while we are eating and sleeping, the rest of the time being used to explore the surroundings as much as we can, even if it means hiking the mountains 12 hours a day!
However, the mountain resorts from Romania are full of things and activities to enjoy, from the local sightseeing attractions to those wilder ones from the heart of the mountains.
We couldn't consider a day completed without experiencing both of them. So we began the day learning a little bit more about the place where the royal family used to spend their summers, namely, at the Peleș & Pelișor Castles from Sinaia being followed by a short hike on unmarked trails from the Bucegi Mountains where we found a very beautiful and peaceful waterfall called Cascada Valea Spumoasă.

The trip was taken in August 2020, and it represents the last part of our yearly road trip around Romania, from 2020! But what's even more amazing is that we have plenty of other locations we explored lately and that the road trip 2021 is right around the corner, so stay close! 😍
