Pasear por la Alameda es pasear por las aguas. No puedes evitar imaginar lo que sería Cádiz hace siglos cuando por ella paseaban las damas y los coches de caballos.
Strolling through the Alameda is like strolling through the waters. You can't help but imagine what Cadiz would have been like centuries ago when ladies and horse-drawn carriages used to stroll along it.
También si viajamos a tiempos anteriores, imaginar las fragatas y galeones en sus aguas cargados con mercancías de todo el mundo.
Cuando España era la verdadera pionera en el arte naval.
Also if we travel back to earlier times, imagine the frigates and galleons in its waters loaded with goods from all over the world.

Hoy día podemos ver muy bien conservados muchos de estos vestigios del pasado en Cádiz.
Today we can see many of these vestiges very well preserved in Cadiz.
Sus calles y sus paseos, así lo muestran.

Hay cañones y otros, muestra de su historia. Hoy día como objetos decorativos en esquinas de edificios y en jardines.

Un paseo muy bonito y de vistas espectaculares.

Su conservación es uno sus poderosos encantos ya que ver estos faroles de forja de tiempos del siglo XIX conservados y en perfecto funcionamiento, le da un encanto en las tardes de invierno o noches mucho mayor.
Estoy deseando poder pasear por esta grande alameda al anochecer y poder ver los faroles encendidos.
Its conservation is one of its powerful charms, as seeing these 19th century wrought iron lanterns preserved and in perfect working order gives it a much greater charm on winter afternoons or evenings.
I am looking forward to strolling along this great alameda at dusk and seeing the lanterns lit.
