Here we are again for the second part of the journey on the islet of Menorca,
the pearl of the Balearics.
Come vi dicevo il tempo si è rasserenato il venerdi, il secondo giorno dal nostro arrivo e così abbiamo dciso verso le due del pomeriggio di dirigerci verso una delle calette più vicine , a 10 minuti da cala bianca dirigendosi verso mahon sulla destra lungo un sentiero che porta al mare troviamo Cala en turqueta e Son Saura, a quell'ora ovviamente la Turqueta era gia FULL, infatti in tutta minorca per raggiungere le calette in piena stagione bisogna andarci la mattina presto perchè i parcheggi sono piggoli e gratuiti e si riempiono subito. Noi abbiamo avuto un pizzico di fortuna ed eravamo appena ad inizio stagione...
Un bivio fatto da muri di pietra a secco separa la Turqueta dalla Saura, la strada è relativamente vicina. Dal parcheggio facendo meno di 300 mt si raggiunge son Saura che si apre davanti agli occhi da dietro delle dune di sabbia coperte da vegetazione tipo bosco basso.
As I told you, the weather cleared up on Friday, the second day after our arrival and so we decided at two in the afternoon to head towards one of the closest coves, 10 minutes from Cala Bianca heading towards Mahon on the right along a path that leads to the sea we find Cala en turqueta and Son Saura, at that time of course the Turqueta was already FULL, in fact in all of Menorca to reach the coves in full season you have to go there early in the morning because the parking lots are lazy and free and fill up immediately. We had a bit of luck and we were just at the beginning of the season ...
A crossroads made of dry stone walls separates the Turqueta from the Saura, the road is relatively close. From the parking lot, making it less than 300 meters, you reach Son Saura which opens up before your eyes from behind the sand dunes covered by vegetation such as low woods.
As you can see from the last photo all three of us took off our glasses to understand if what we saw was the result of the lenses of the sunglasses or not, and well obviously it wasn't!
A SHOW OF NATURE! the view is exciting, all this sand so clear and water so crystalline that you almost want to drink it, at first glance it looks like the Maldives, I put this beach in second place of the 5 we visited and I will tell you the second only because I am more from cala than from playa. Obviously, if there is wind and rough sea, you will certainly not be able to enjoy the place as in the conditions in which I took the photos ...
UNO SPETTACOLO DELLA NATURA! la vista è emozionante, tutta questa sabbia così chiara e un acqua così cristallina che ti vien voglia quasi di berla, a primo impatto sembra le maldive, io questa spiaggia la metto al secondo posto delle 5 che abbiamo visitato e vi dirò al secondo solo perchè io sono più da cala che da playa. Ovviamente se c'è vento e mare mosso sicuramente non si riesce a godere del posto come nelle condizioni in cui ho scattato le foto io...
In this place I must tell you the truth, time stops, it seems to be in paradise, all the people around you are carefree and relaxed and look at the sea, they immerse themselves and dry themselves, let themselves be carried away by the beauty of this beach.
In questo posto vi devo dire la verità il tempo si fema, sembra di stare in paradiso, tutte le persone che ti circondano sono spensierate e rilassate e guardano il mare, ci si immergono e si asciugano, si lasciano trasportare dalla bellezza di questa spiaggia.
