Hola amigos que me leen. En esta oportunidad les contaré de mi viaje por el estado Sucre de Venezuela, con sus playas y espectaculares paisajes que vale la pena visitar. Este viaje lo hice junto con mi hija, que es muy aventurera y amante de lo desconocido. Deben saber que en Venezuela se puede viajar todo el año a las playas gracias a su clima tropicaliente.
Tomamos el avión hacia la capital del estado Sucre, llamada Cumaná. El viaje duró cerca de 45 minutos. Volamos de noche, llegamos a Cumaná un poco tarde. Nos hospedamos en un pequeño hotel y pedimos algo de cenar y la dueña nos dijo que solo había pizza, después nos toca la puerta y nos dice: “Disculpen, llegaron tarde y la cocina está cerrada”. Bueno, cenamos algo que habíamos llevado para no dormir con hambre. Apenas nos acostamos se escucha una fuerte discusión en el pasillo entre la dueña y un turista brasilero que gritaba porque al parecer, mientras él no estaba en su habitación le robaron todos sus documentos y el dinero también. Nos asustamos un poco con lo sucedido.
Well, the next day we asked the lady who owns the inn about a beach we wanted to go to, Santa Fe, and she alerted us that it was better not to go because they had recently assaulted and beaten a tourist. My daughter didn't pay much attention to that but I was against it, so we took the bus and went to another beach: Colorada.
Bueno, al día siguiente le preguntamos a la señora dueña de la posada por una playa a la que queríamos ir, Santa Fe, y ella nos alertó que era mejor que no fuéramos porque hacía poco habían asaltado y golpeado a una turista. Mi hija no le paró mucho pero yo sí me opuse así que tomamos el autobús y fuimos a otra playa: Colorada.
We started looking for a place to stay and found an inn near the sea. The manager was very friendly and she put us in a small room, but for two people it was fine. It was a very nice inn with 16 rooms, a large patio and three small pools and of course a beautiful view.
Empezamos a buscar donde quedarnos y encontramos una posada cerca del mar. La encargada era bien simpática y nos puso en una habitación pequeña, pero para dos personas estaba bien. Era una posada bien bonita con 16 habitaciones, patio grande y unas tres piscinas pequeñas y por supuesto una vista hermosa.
It was a small town but we really liked that place with few inhabitants. We arranged our luggage in the room and walked to the beach, we stopped in a corner and ate some delicious empanadas, we arrived at the beach that was almost right there, a panoramic view.
Era un pueblito pero nos gustó mucho ese lugar de pocos habitantes. Acomodamos nuestro equipaje en la habitación y fuimos caminando hacia la playa, nos paramos en una esquina y comimos unas ricas empanadas, llegamos a la playa que estaba casi ahí mismo, una vista panorámica.
We sat on the sand watching and enjoying the breeze from the gentle waves of this beautiful beach with sand of various colors, that's why they call it Playa Colorada (Colored Beach). When you are by the sea you forget your worries, you feel peace, harmony and pleasure looking at the ocean. It's an inexplicable thing. We ate fried fish and then we bathed for hours and hours until our hands wrinkled.
Nos sentamos en la arena mirando y disfrutando la brisa de las suaves olas de esta bella playa con arena de varios colores, por eso la llaman Playa Colorada. Cuando estás junto al mar te olvidas de las preocupaciones, sientes paz, armonía y placer mirando el océano. Es una cosa inexplicable. Comimos pescado frito y luego nos bañamos horas y horas hasta que las manos se nos arrugaron.
This was the first time we visited that beach and as time is gold, we tried to enjoy it to the fullest. We took photos, we walk the entire shore barefoot feeling that sand massage on our feet.
Esta era la primera vez que visitábamos esa playa y como el tiempo es oro, tratamos de disfrutar al máximo. Tomamos fotos, caminamos toda la orilla descalzas sintiendo ese masaje de la arena en los pies.
At sunset we returned to the inn to rest a little and at night around nine we went to dinner at a restaurant that we discovered in the town. We had a tasty dinner with good service. As it was low season there were few people.
A la caída del sol regresamos a la posada a descansar algo y en la noche como a las nueve fuimos a cenar a un restaurante que descubrimos en el pueblo. Cenamos sabroso, con buen servicio. Como era temporada baja había poca gente.
We stayed in that inn for four days and had a great time, the only bad thing about that beach was the amount of garbage that some people leave after eating without picking it up. It seems that they lost consciousness and that is sad because the beaches are to take care of them and keep them clean instead of dirtying them. The rest, all spectacular, we really liked the town with its beautiful mountains, its little houses and above all the great tranquility that one feels and we realized that living in that place has value and benefits for human health. We had a beautiful experience of those days we spent there, of course and we want to go back.
En esa posada nos quedamos cuatro días y la pasamos de maravilla, lo único malo en esa playa fue la cantidad de basura que algunas personas dejan después de comer sin recogerla. Parece que perdieron la conciencia y eso es triste porque las playas son para cuidarlas y mantenerlas limpias en vez de ensuciarlas. Lo demás, todo espectacular, nos gustó mucho el pueblo con sus bonitas montañas, sus casitas y sobre todo la gran tranquilidad que siente uno y nos dimos cuenta de que vivir en ese lugar tiene valor y beneficios para la salud del ser humano. Nos quedó una bonita experiencia de los días que pasamos ahí, claro y ganas de volver.
We have toured the place, met its people, their customs and the way of living in this hidden and very beautiful town. We said goodbye to the manager and she told us to come back another time.
Hemos recorrido el lugar, conocido a su gente, sus costumbres y el modo de vivir en este escondido y muy bello pueblo. Nos despedimos de la encargada y ella nos dijo que volviéramos en otra oportunidad.
For now, the trip ends here, but it continues in other places in Sucre and I will tell you about that in the next opportunity. A big greeting to everyone and those who want to see the beauty of Playa Colorada the only way is to visit it. I highly recommend it!
