My vacation in Sucre (Venezuela), Part II: Patilla Beach and Carúpano / Mis vacaciones por Sucre (Venezuela), II Parte: Playa Patilla y Carúpano

Hello friends! As promised, my trip through eastern Venezuela is not over yet.

¡Hola amigos!

Leaving Playa Colorada we took the bus that passed by the road to return to the city of Cumaná. Arriving we took a cab and went to Playa Patilla, it was a weekday and there were almost no people. A small town of few inhabitants, quiet and lonely. We stayed in a small hotel with few rooms, very close to the beach, built at the base of a huge mountain, we paid for our stay, left our luggage and went down to the beach.

A spectacular view and atmosphere. Bright sun and serene sea. We jumped like fish into the water, feeling full satisfaction. When we got out of the water we walked along the shore, picked up snails of different sizes and flashy pebbles hidden in the rocks, as the hotel was right there, we stayed until late to enjoy the image of a beautiful sunset. We went to the room to change and went out to look for a place to eat because we were very hungry.

Una vista y un ambiente espectacular. Sol brillante y mar sereno.

Beyond the hotel we asked where to have dinner and luckily in a house they prepared food. The owner cooked us a big fish just taken from the sea, some arepas and salad, everything was tasty and with the hunger we had much more, even a cat that was there we gave him fish too. Then we walked for a while in front of the sea and as it was already late we went to our room to rest and sleep.

It turns out that since it was low season the hotel was empty, there were only the two of us and the owner that day went to a neighbors meeting and left the main gate open, that scared me because for us that place was unknown and for that reason I couldn't sleep until I finally heard the gate. He came back very late from the meeting, but I could finally sleep peacefully.

The next day we got up early to take advantage of a swim at the beach because at one o'clock we had to leave the room since we were only here for one day.

At noon we took a cab that left us on the highway where we took the bus to the city of Carúpano, a long trip, with many curves and climbs. Anyway, we arrived in the city at noon. We went to a popular food market and had fish, arepitas, salad and a delicious juice, it was full of people.

We left that market in search of a place to stay. It was only one night. We found a room in a more or less expensive hotel, paid and later went down to see the town of Carúpano. We passed by Colón Square and other beautiful little squares with big trees, a big church and several stores where we bought fabrics. As I am a seamstress I'm attracted to such things. We walked through several streets and found it to be a pleasant city with good and simple people. Exhausted we arrived at the hotel to take a shower, watch some TV and sleep.

In the morning we went down to the dining room to have breakfast, that was included. Leaving that hotel we went to the bus stop to continue with our trip that I will tell you about soon and I am sure you will fall in love with the next places I will show you.

A hug of friendship to all those who read me, see you soon!
