Saludos , el día de hoy fue muy lindo pues recibí la invitación de mi amiga Julia a conocer la finca de su familia, esta esta ubicada en el caserío El Papayo, ubicado a unos 11 kilómetros de la salida oeste de Carora, estado Lara Venezuela, esta vía también es conocida como La otra banda, fui además con mi amigo @majenye y la pasamos muy bien caminando en contacto con la naturaleza, tomando fotografías y apreciando el hermoso paisaje y los animales.
Greetings, today was very nice because I received an invitation from my friend Julia to see her family's farm, it is located in the El Papayo farmhouse, located about 11 kilometers from the west exit of Carora, Lara state, Venezuela. this route is also known as La Otra Banda, I also went with my friend @majenye and we had a great time walking in contact with nature, taking pictures and appreciating the beautiful landscape and animals.
La familia de mi amiga ha hecho un gran trabajo en su finca, tiene el lugar muy bonito, lleno de pasto y con muchas vacas, además la casa también es hermosa y llena de flores, el clima árido de esta zona del estado Lara pareciera ser difícil, pero allí tiene n abundante agua y tienen además una hermosa laguna muy cerca.
My friend's family has done a great job on their farm, it has a very nice place, full of grass and with many cows, in addition the house is also beautiful and full of flowers, the arid climate of this area of Lara state seems to be difficult, but there is abundant water there and they also have a beautiful lagoon very close.
A mi me gustan mucho las vacas, así que fue lindo apreciar con estas comían pasto, noté que siempre había una garza blanca cerca de cada vaca, el esposo de mi amiga me contó que las garzas siempre se ubican debajo de las vacas para comer los insectos que salen cuando las vacas pisan el pasto húmedo, creo que esta es una gran colaboración de especies en la naturaleza que nunca ha había visto.
I really like cows, so it was nice to see how they ate grass, I noticed that there was always a white heron near each cow, my friend's husband told me that the herons always sit under the cows to eat the insects that come out when cows step on wet grass, I think this is a great collaboration of species in nature that you have never seen.
Caminamos mucho y disfrutamos de ver el paisaje verde y lleno de pasto de la zona donde están las vacas y la laguna, también vimos el contraste de la vegetación xerófila, en el camino encontré un melocactus que es mi variedad de cactus favorita, uno de estos tenia flores y el otro tenia fruto, esos son comestibles así que yo saqué el fruto y se lo di a mi a amigo @majenye quien nunca en su vida había comido uno.
We walked a lot and enjoyed seeing the green landscape full of grass in the area where the cows and the lagoon are, we also saw the contrast of the xerophytic vegetation, on the way I found a melocactus which is my favorite variety of cactus, one of these one had flowers and the other had fruit, those are edible so I took the fruit out and gave it to my friend @majenye who had never eaten one in his life.
Seguimos caminando y más adelante encontramos un pequeño cementerio, aquí los habitantes del caserío El papayo sepultan a sus parientes, me pareció muy interesante ver que las personas prefieren ser sepultadas cerca de su tierra y no en la ciudad, me pareció un lugar bonito para descansar .
We continued walking and further on we found a small cemetery, here the inhabitants of the El papayo farmhouse bury their relatives, I found it very interesting to see that people prefer to be buried near their land and not in the city, it seemed to me a nice place to rest .
Fue una visita corta porque llegó el atardecer y la caída del sol, así que nos regresamos a la ciudad, sin embargo, atesoro esta experiencia como una de las grandes aventuras que me ha tocado vivir, porque a pesar de que es un lugar cercano a la ciudad no había la tenido al oportunidad de conocer y apreciar la gran belleza natural que representa.
It was a short visit because sunset and sundown came, so we returned to the city, however, I treasure this experience as one of the great adventures that I have had to live, because even though it is a place close to the city had not had the opportunity to know and appreciate the great natural beauty that it represents.

Primero que nada, ame el gorrito caimanero jajajaja que lindo lugar de verdad, disfrute las fotos, el fruto del melocactus yo lo llamo pitigüey , no se si se llama así realmente! Pero es sabrocito!....El pequeño cementerio también fue algo que me gustó, el tema de descansar lejos de todo es algo que veia en pelicula, me gustó apreciarlo en tus imagenes!!
