hier der neue Bericht aus meiner Vater Sohn Fahrradtour Reihe. Heute eine schöne kleine 3 Tagestour in unserer näheren Umgebung. Dachte mir man muss ja nicht immer weit weg fahren und könnte auch mal die Heimat erkunden. Also ging unsere Tour von Heidelberg über Zwingenberg, Worms und Speyer zurück nach Heidelberg. Eine schöne Rundtour mit ca. 150 Kilometern.
Am Anfang zumeist über die Felder, die von kleinen Kanälen durchzogen sind.

here the new report from my father son bike tour series. Today a nice little 3 day tour in our immediate vicinity. Thought me you do not always have to go far away and could also explore the home. So our tour went from Heidelberg via Zwingenberg, Worms and Speyer back to Heidelberg. A nice round trip with about 150 kilometers.
At the beginning mostly over the fields, which are crisscrossed by small channels.
Relativ zügig erreichten wir Lorch mit dem bekannten Kloster, das sogar UNESCO Weltkulturerbe ist.
Relatively quickly we reached Lorch with the famous monastery, which is even a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Zwischendurch immer mal wieder eine kleine Verschnaufpause am Wegesrand.
In between, every now and then a small breather along the way.
Dann kam unser Etappenziel Worms in Sicht. Hier die Rheinbrücke mit erhaltenem Stadttor.
Then our stage destination Worms came into view. Here the Rhine bridge with preserved city gate.
Da wir vor dem Abendessen noch etwas Zeit hatten haben wir uns den Wormser Dom mal von innen angeschaut. Ebenso wie von außen eine imposante Erscheinung.
Since we still had some time before dinner, we took a look at the Worms Cathedral from the inside. Just as from the outside an imposing appearance.
Unsere XXL Flammkuchen hatten wir uns dann auch redlich verdient. Natürlich für mich mit einem schönen Schwarzbier.

Der Blick aus dem Fenster unserer Jugendherberge bei Nacht war natürlich aller Ehren wert.
The view from the window of our hostel at night was of course worthy of all honors.
Auf unserer nächsten Etappe ging es dann immer schön am Rhein entlang nach Ludwigshafen.
On our next stage, it was then always beautiful along the Rhine to Ludwigshafen.
Nun gut, Ludwigshafen ist jetzt keine Schönheit.
Well, Ludwigshafen is not a real beauty.
Erst recht nicht diese dunkle Unterführung unter dem Bahnhof. War aber mal ganz spannend.
Especially not this dark underpass under the train station. But it was quite exciting.
Darauf erstmal eine Pause direkt am Rhein und die Füße im Wasser baumeln lassen.
Then first a break directly on the Rhine and dangle the feet in the water.
Am Tagesziel Speyer angekommen stand erstmal wieder ein Dom auf dem Programm. Repräsentativ am Ende der Fußgängerzone gelegen.
Arrived at the day's destination Speyer was first again a cathedral on the program. Representative located at the end of the pedestrian zone.
Zum Abendessen waren wir in einem Burgerladen mit Thema Movie. Echt cool, besonders Hulk und der Predator.
For dinner we went to a burger joint with a movie theme. Really cool, especially Hulk and the Predator.
Schlusstag und damit auf Wiedersehen Speyer bei strahlendem Sonnenschein.
Final day and so goodbye Speyer in bright sunshine.
Überhaupt nichts los auf dem Rhein, wo sind denn die ganzen Frachtschiffe hin?
Nothing going on at all on the Rhine, where have all the cargo ships gone?
Fast am Ziel, hier unsere Rheinüberquerung bei Ladenburg und dann waren wir auch schon wieder daheim.
Almost at our destination, here our Rhine crossing at Ladenburg and then we were home again.
Wie immer eine eine fantastische Tour mit meinem Sohn, ganz ohne Pannen und mit super Wetter. Glück muss man haben.
Ich hoffe es hat Euch gefallen und Ihr habt irgendwann die Möglichkeit die Tour auch mal zu machen. Meinem Sohn und mir hat es wie immer eine Riesen Freude bereitet.
