It's been a few days since my last blog as things got piled up at work but I'm glad I'm here now again.
As mentioned in my last blog, on my trip to Cebu City, I and the friend dropped by the biggest market where most local small-scale business entrepreneurs make wholesale purchases to be sold in much smaller local markets.
Along with new improvements made in Carbon Market, I didn't know there was this lovely place on the rooftop where one could dine in while enjoying an optimal view of the bridge and the bay and this is what I'm going to share in today's blog.
As we were already a bit hungry and thirsty after our Friday market, the friend and I decided to take a quick break before heading home. It was then she told me she heard about this bar and restaurant at the rooftop of Carbon Market to have some refreshments and so off we climbed up to the rooftop!
Discovering Bora Bay from the Rooftop
Reaching the rooftop, it was then we discovered this perfect place to enjoy the breathtaking view of the newly constructed bridge that connects South Road Properties in Cebu City and Cordova, on Mactan Island - the Bora Bay.
Bora Bay is situated at the rooftop of Interim Building New Carbon Market, Cebu City a walking distance from the City Hall.
As we entered, this fantastic view at the top welcomed and amazed us!
This seemingly like a portal or gateway especially added a unique taste of this lovely place which I found to be more attractive at night as this becomes a ring of light as I checked Bora Bay's Facebook album.
As we came in at daytime, we we were not able to enjoy this beautiful sight at night. Had to leave for home before dark for a 2 1/2 long trip back to my place so I failed to capture these moments.
But in order to show how fantastic Bora Bay is at these hours, I grabbed some photos of the place at nighttime from their Facebook album.
Enjoying the View
The perfect fine weather contributed to the beauty right in front of our eyes. The panoramic view of the bay and the CCLEX bridge from the top!
The Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX), also known as the Cebu–Cordova Bridge and the Third Cebu–Mactan Bridge (or simply, the Third Bridge), is an 8.9-kilometer (5.5 mi) toll bridge expressway in Metro Cebu, Philippines. Reading some news about the city mayor's plan to make a Singapore-like Cebu, I realized that was why the iconic Merlion statue was standing proudly and enjoyed spouting water at this spot. (It was unfortunate of us not able to witness this view because the staff were cleaning this area when we arrived!) 😔
Making most of our time before our order arrived, I took quick snaps of this restobar's detail in order to share in this post.
Bora Bay not only offers the best Filipino dishes at an affordable price but also allows guests to experience the best music with a live band that plays at night.
With its outdoor dining tables and chairs, guests can enjoy their sumptuous meal while experiencing the lovely sight!
And, of course we climbed up there to have some light snacks before leaving for home and so we did!
We had some Hawaiian pizza and buttered chicken with milk tea and a mango shake and paid about Php625.00 or 11.43 USD.
If you happen to come to Cebu and think of buying some stuff at a cheaper price, you may come to Carbon Market.
And of course, you should not miss this one of the newest Cebu attractions- the Bora Bay! But just a tip, it's better to come here at nighttime to make your dining experience memorable and unforgettable!

Wow.. I visited the rooftop of Carbon Market last December but the place is not yet done. How beautiful the place is this time. For sure many will visit the place for a breathtaking view especially during night time.
