This is our first step in our cruise ship trip, we had the day in Dubrovnik in our second day of traveling and I was so excited about it, it is where many parts of game of thrones were filmed, a series that I adore, in fact I was very excited for this stage and apart from some things that I found not very pleasant it is really a beautiful place, as soon as we docked I immediately took pictures of the port which is about ten minutes by bus from the city centre, so close enough.

Dubrovnik it's named in Italian Ragusa it's really a charming place and I will surely need more than a post for describe it.

We weren't the only ship in the port, Dubrovnik it's a very touristic place and the port too was full of people. Dubrovnik it's a city in southern Croatia in front of the Adriatic sea, it's one of the most popular city and it's loved also by rich people and VIP from all over the world. It's one of the UNESCO heritage sites for the old city and the very big fortress.

When you entered it you immediately enter in the medieval town in the main streets that is full of bars and a lot of souvenirs shops.

Dubrovnik was first under Byzantine empire you can see it also by many art and architecture and than passed under the Venetian republic that make it wealthy and rich. It have a good position for markets and ship. Than it became a self state and increase the maritime streets and commerce day by day. The city was almost destroyed in the earthquake of 1967.

We entered by one of the door of the city and we immediately see the fortress, a two hours and more walk on the walls.

The city it's really charming the time was so warm and walking wasn't easy but we enjoyed the entrance in the city the streets are little but not the main ones and are really cool see al these little medieval corners and the many shops hidden in the streets.

In the next post I will describe better some of the main sites and church of the city a city that it's really full of art and history.

The fortress looks amazing and love that last photo of the alleyway. Would be a nice time to visit when there were not a lot of tourist.
