The Žebračka Riparian Forest is located near Přerov (Czechia). From the town centre, it is just over a kilometre as the crow flies to Žebračka. It is a roughly rectangular piece of forest with an area of about 220 hectares, on the northeastern edge of the town.
The riparian forest is a waterlogged forest, periodically flooded. Water in the Žebračka is provided by the 550 year old Strhanec millrace.
Žebračka has been a state nature reserve since 1949. Consequently, movement in it is restricted to marked paths. The forest is only minimally maintained, basically there are only maintained paths. Outside of these, the forest is managed only by nature and time.
