🥇 🗻 My Trip to Quito, Ecuador 🌋 by @danielvehe

My trip to Quito was almost improvised. At the beginning of 2013, I was talking with my girlfriend at the time (who we will call "L" throughout the post), about taking a trip that would not be so expensive from Caracas. We looked at several options and the one that caught our attention was Ecuador. Although I had been there in 1981, I wanted to go back after such a long time and one of the reasons is that most of my family is from there. The other excuse is to visit a nearby country so as not to pay so much in airplane tickets and not to make tourism so expensive. I can tell you that Ecuador fulfills that special attraction for the tourist; where you will not get the typical crowds of tourists everywhere and has many attractions that are close to each other. It is also very economical to go from one to another; as long as you know how to do it. Stay in this post and I will explain it to you.

🥈 Crazy Alpine Experience, Peak Botev, Bulgaria by @velinov86

In Part 1 of my crazy alpine experience to Botev peak, we left off just as I climbed the milky ridge which was the most dangerous part of the journey. I forgot to mention though that the climb of such terrains (ridges and very steep slopes) is easier on the way up and much harder on the way down. This is why the probability of having an accident is much higher while descending.

In the morning, when I got up to meet the dawn, it turned out that the sky was overcast, dark and generally raining very hard. We were lucky - before that, all the days of the journey, the weather was excellent, except that sometimes it drizzled, but it was just a trifle. It's good that such a rain began already here, in the Passu village, and not yesterday, when we crossed the glacier!
