My grandson Maxim and daughter Nadezhda came to visit me for Christmas and New Year. I sincerely and eagerly awaited our meeting.
During our separation, which is almost a year, my grandson grew up and became a schoolboy. The daughter became even better than she was. We enjoyed our meeting and enjoyed spending time together.

На Різдвяні свята і Новий рік до мене в гості приїхали мої внук Максим і дочка Надія. Я щиро і з нетерпінням чекала на нашу зустріч.
За час нашої розлуки, а це майже рік, мій онук підріс, став школярем. Дочка стала ще кращою ніж була. Ми були раді нашій зустрічі і радо проводили час разом.
Yesterday before lunch I was busy at work, and after lunch we all decided to go to Conegliano. This city is very close to Treviso and our train journey lasted 20 minutes. Max and Nadezhda really enjoyed riding in a comfortable train car.
Conegliano greeted us with a Christmas market with a Ferris wheel and a wonderful carousel. The whole alley was decorated with Christmas trees, garlands and bright illumination. We wanted to ride a Ferris wheel to look at the city from a height. Max was very pleased and looked around with interest. Nadia photographed us and the city.
Вчора до обіду я була зайнята на роботі, а після обіду ми всі разом вирішили поїхати в Конельяно. Це місто знаходиться дуже близько від Тревізо і наша подорож поїздом тривала 20 хвилин. Максу і Наді дуже сподобалось їхати у комфортному вагоні поїзда.
Конельяно нас зустріло різдвяним ярмарком з оглядовим колесом і чудовою каруселлю. Вся алея була прикрашена новорічними ялинками, гірляндами і яскравою улюмінацією. Ми захотіли покататися на колесі огляду, щоб згори подивитися на місто. Макс був дуже задоволений і з цікавістю розглядав всн довкола. Надя фотографувала нас і місто.
We went down from the Ferris wheel and headed up. Our goal was to get to the castle that rises on the mountain. It happened to us on the way
strawberry tree. This evergreen tree was strewn with red berries. There were many berries on the ground. My daughter saw such a tree for the first time and was very surprised. I told her that these fruits are edible. From them you can make jams, wine, liqueurs. They are gladly eaten by birds. At the same time on the tree can be fruits and flowers. Italians love these trees because in autumn they resemble the Italian flag in their colors.
Ми спустилися вниз з колеса огляду і рушили вверх. Нашою ціллю було дістатися замку, що височить на горі. По дорозі нам трапилось полуничне дерево. Це вічнозелене дерево було всипане червоними ягодами. Багато ягід було на землі. Моя дочка таке дерево бачила вперше і дуже дивувалась. Я розповіла їй, що ці плоди їстивні. З них можна готувати варення, вино, наливки. Їх радо їдять птахи. Одночасно на дереві можуть бути плоди і квіти. Італійці люблять ці дерева тому, що восени вони своїми кольорами нагадують італійський прапор.
My grandson knows well what winter is and it is very strange to him that roses can bloom in winter. Maxim even came up to sniff and touch the petals with his hand to make sure if the flowers are real.

We climbed the stairs and admired the ancient arches, houses, theater. My grandson was very attentive and looked at everything with interest. He himself sat down or got up to take a photo of him.
Ми піднімалися сходами і милувалися древніми арками, будинками, театром. Мій внук був дуже уважний і все з цікавістю розглядав. Він сам сідав або ставав щоб зробити йому фото.
Maxim liked the Christmas tree which was made of wooden boards. It is not necessary for Italians to cut down a living tree to create a holiday. They will decorate an ordinary tree that grows in their garden with garlands. Everything that comes to hand and even wooden boards can be used.
Максимові сподобалась ялинка яка була зроблена з дерев'яних дошок. Щоб створити свято італійцям не обов'язково рубати живе дерево. Вони прикрасять звичайне дерево, що росте у них в саду гірляндами. В хід іде все, що попаде під руку і навіть дерев'яні дошки.
Above the wall hung a branch with yellow leaves. Many fallen leaves were on the stairs. Maxim asked to take a photo against this beautiful background of autumn nature, although in fact it is the end of December.
Над стіною звисало гілля з жовтим листям. Багато опалого листя було на сходах. Максим попросив зробити фото на цьому чудовому фоні осінньої поироди, хоча насправді зараз кінець грудня.
My daughter was fascinated by the architecture of this ancient city. Walls, arches, every stone breathed history. My daughter stopped at every step to touch these ancient walls with her hand and feel the vibrations of time.

The fair brought a unique color to this ancient city. A wonderful atmosphere was created. We walked the red carpet, imagining ourselves nobles.

The courtyard, surrounded by a rampart, offers an incredible panorama. We see in front of the Serbs a city lying in the foothills of the Alps. Mountains covered with snow are majestic and impregnable. They seem so close that you seem to reach out and they are there. In fact, they are still 5 kilometers away.

Max looked with interest at the houses that huddled close together. On red tiled roofs. From the mountain the town looked fabulous, small.

My grandson was no exception, he immediately ran and wanted to climb on the gun. He was also interested in stone cores lying on a pile nearby.
Біля підніжжя замкової вежі стоїть стара гармата, що брала участь у боях першої світової війни. Діти люблять таку зброю і з охотою залізають на неї. Мій внук також не був вийнятком, він зразу ж побіг і захотів залізти на гармату. Також він зацікавився кам'яними ядрами, що лежали на купі неподалік.
Together we visited an old but well-preserved fortress that remembers ancient battles. We walked around the yard with beautiful lawns and trees. We inspected the strong walls that have survived to this day. On one of them sat a cat who was not bothered by the conversations of adults or the noise and merry laughter of children.
Ми разом оглянули стару але добре збережену фортецю, що пам'ятає древні битви. Походили по подвір'ї з чудовими газонами і деревами. Оглянули міцні мури, що вціліли до наших днів. На одному з них сидів кіт, якого не хвилювали ні розмови дорослих, ні шум і веселий сміх дітей.
We all went together to the observation deck to get an even better view of the Dolomites and the vineyards located nearby.
Ми всі разом пішли на оглядовий майданчик щоб ще краще роздивитися гори Доломіти і виноградники, що позташовані поряд.
It was getting dark. The mountains became dark and very cold. The proximity of snow-capped peaks was felt. To warm up a bit, we went to a cafe on the castle grounds to drink wine and coffee. Conegliano is considered the capital of Prosecco. And it is a sin not to drink this delicious wine after visiting this city.
Стало вечоріти. Гори стали темніти і дуже похолодало. Відчувалася близькість засніжених вершин. Щоб трохи зігрітися, ми пішли в кафе, що знаходиться на території замку щоб випити вина і кави. Конельяно рахується столицею просекко. І гріх не випити цього смачного вина, побувавши в цьому місті.
Maxim took a map of the castle and began to tell us on this map how we should follow to get to the train station. It was such a game of our boy.
We reached the station, exchanging impressions. My daughter said that the people of Conegliano live in an open-air museum. I completely agree with her. And I want to say that every town or village deserves attention. And each of them can find something beautiful and enjoy the tour.

Ми дійшли до станції, обмінюючись враженнями. Моя дочка сказала, що жителі Конельяно живуть в музеї під відкритим небом. Я з нею повністю згідна. І ще хочу сказати, що кожне містечко чи село варте уваги. І кожному з них можна знайти щось прекрасне і отримати насолоду від екскурсії.
