“Flowers are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty out values all the utilities in the world.”– Ralph Waldo Emerson
Hello beautiful people! It's Flor here. How's everyone doing today? I hope you are all fine.
For today's blog, I am going to share my last year's visit to the well-known Little Amsterdam of Cebu, the Sirao Garden.
This place is located in Barangay Sirao, Cebu City, just a 40-minute drive from JY square Lahug, Cebu City.
It was Saturday morning, the sun was covered with clouds, and the road was wet due to the rain early in the morning.
We rented a motorcycle and drove to the famous garden. It was actually my first time visiting the place. Though I live near here yet I didn't have the chance to visit the place not until my friends came.
By the way the entrance fee here is 100 pesos.
The garden was wide and there were few tourists since we came here earlier. When we got inside the garden, there were more Instagram-worthy places for picture taking especially with the flowers as your background and the amazing view of the mountains.
Fascinated with the sea of pink-colored blooms surrounding the windmills that are called spider flowers.
One of my favorite flowers is the sunflower and luckily the sunflowers were in full blooms when we visited the garden.
According to the article that I have read, sunflowers are well-known for being a happy flower and the perfect bloom for a summer flower delivery to brighten someone's mood.
It's indeed true because when I saw the sunflowers, my mood became more positive and happy.
These flowers remind me that we have to look for the brighter side of the world.
Look how lovely celosias are in the background, which looks like bright flames, usually in red and yellow.
Long before this garden became so famous, celosias were the flowers being planted in this area. The owner actually sold these picked flowers before to Freedom Park Carbon Market.
There were more flowers scattered around. It made the place look more beautiful with their coloful blooms.
Aside from the beautiful flowers around the garden, we could also see some beautiful architecture similar to that in Amsterdam like the windmills and more.
Felt hungry after our tour. Good thing, the garden has a cafeteria inside with a friendly dog.
SIRAO PEAK
After the garden tour, we decided to climb Sirao peak. Unfortunately, the rain started to fall. Nevertheless, we still up for a climb. After several minutes waiting, the rain stopped.
The trek started and the place was covered with fog. It was so cold but the girls were so excited to set up our tent.
After about 15 minutes trek, we almost see the camping site. We didn't have a tour guide so we just followed the way.
We arrived at the camping site and were surprised because there were several people in the area. We didn't expect to have more people on the site.
Then, we set up our tent and ate the snacks that we bought in the Sari2x store.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience touring around Sirao Garden and camping at Sirao Peak.
Only that, I was a bit sad when we went back because we saw some trash scattered around the bushy area. Let's all remember to keep our surroundings clean at all times and be a responsible traveler .

When I heard "Amsterdam" I thought it was a foreign place then I read that it is in Cebu hahaha.
I think that's the place that I saw from Facebook, is that the one that is full of lights in the evening? I mean the flowers.
It's a good place!
Hahaha it's just here in Cebu. It is called the little Amsterdam because of the architectures and flowers surrounding the place. 😊 I wish we could go to Amsterdam in person.
Not this one.
There is another place here where in you can see more lights in the evening.
Thanks for commenting💕
