“I just want to live in a world of mountains, coffee, campfires, cabins, and golden trees, and run around with a camera and notebook, learning the inner workings of everything real.” — Victoria Erickson
Hello beautiful people! Today we are going to share our camping memories with our family.
After months of building our A-frame Cabin project on the cliffside, it’s time to celebrate. Though there are still some constructions needed since it is not yet totally done but we can't wait to spend our family time here.
While construction of our cabin is still going on, we decided to camp near our cabin to celebrate the time and efforts that our family exerted to achieve our dream of having a tiny home where the signal is good for our work which usually requires a good and stable internet connection.
Let's go and camp together!
Before hiking up, we harvested our cassava so we can have snacks in our camping tents. A lot of cassava today so we made “Linatikang Kamoteng Kahoy”, which means cassava with melted sugar and coconut milk. After 40 minutes, my mother finished cooking cassava so we headed for a hike up to the mountain peak.
On our way up, we saw some ferns and other wild plants and took some photographs of them. Nature has a lot to offer and it gave us that relaxing feeling while hiking up. The trail was quite challenging for Rex. However, we managed to pass the challenging way. After several minutes of walking, we reached the peak and saw the beauty of the rolling hills. It was fulfilling and therapeutic.
After hiking for 15 minutes, we arrived and set up our camping tents just a few meters away from the cabin. The weather was fine so it was the best time to camp with the family. We cooked rice for dinner while waiting for my cousins to arrive.
It was around 5 o'clock when the sun starts to disappear so I set up the lights and connected them to the power banks. While I was busy with some stuff, my cousins arrived and they set up their tent and prepared our dinner.
They brought the native chicken from our uncle's farm and had a barbecue.
It was a simple yet fun dinner time with our family. We weren't able to take pictures of ourselves eating because we were so hungry already.

The night was getting colder so we were sitting around the campfire while talking about life experiences with our family. We were happy singing some songs. We also talked about ghost stories with my cousins. We had a wonderful time together.

Glad you had an amazing time with your loved ones @sabukidblog. This will be an impossible activity for me as my mom suffers from a severe knee injury and she's having difficulty walking.
