An afternoon with the Science in Shanghai Science and Technology Museum

in Pinmapplelast year

Hello, dear mates in the Hive Universe and welcome you to my another chapter of my recent visit to Shanghai and Nanjing. Today I am going to share my visit to one of my favorites and also renowned places in Shanghai city, the Science and Technology Museum which is a world-class museum dedicated to promoting science education and exploration for all ages of people from children to young or old people. There are many exhibition halls of different science areas with amazing experimental setup knowledge and demonstrations. This museum is a must-visit destination for anyone visiting Shanghai who is interested in science, technology, and the natural world. I and my friends visited the museum by using the subway there is a station named the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum so it is very convenient to pay a visit there from anywhere in Shanghai City. The huge modern architectured building of the museum covers an immense area with the knowledge of science. With its vast collection of good information, beautiful decoration and artificial animal habitats, and scientific attractions, it offers an unforgettable experience for tourists of all ages.

The entry ticket for the Museum was only 36 RMB which is very convenient though many museums in Beijing I have visited are free or often only 5 RMB per ticket. So, I think Shanghai is a relatively expensive city for such visiting places also. The vast area before entering the museum will definitely attract you with some amazing views of the area but I couldn't take too many photos due to the wrong position of the sun that day!

One of the most interesting and engaging aspects of the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum is its focus on the animal world. And this is one of my favorite parts of the museum where I have seen the creativity of the authority to make artificial animals by mimicking their native living place. The area is lighted and the color combinations were very realistic to entertain you by exploring the whole area. From the diverse ecosystems of the different areas of the earth exploration and the interactive exhibiting of the different environmental arrangements, visitors can learn about a wide range of animals and their habitats.

I enjoyed walking through the artificial mountains and jungle to make the place a realistic one. In this section, visitors can explore replicas of various ecosystems, each populated with a variety of plants and animals. For example, the rainforest exhibit features a canopy walk, allowing visitors to experience what it's like to explore the upper reaches of the forest. Many sub-exhibition halls showcase a range of animals, from tiny creatures to desert dwellers and many kinds of insects. Visitors can learn about the adaptations that allow these animals to survive in their harsh and challenging environments, and gain a greater appreciation for the diverse array of life on our planet.

The green canopy exhibit in the Earth Exploration Hall features a walkway that takes visitors through a replica of a rainforest canopy. The experience of walking among the treetops, surrounded by lush greenery is very enjoyable.

There is also a stony area where we have seen a replica of the waterfall which was really appreciable to make the surrounding more beautiful and more explorable. The stony area exhibit offers visitors the chance to learn about the unique adaptations that desert animals have developed in order to survive in their harsh environments.

The Shanghai Science and Technology Museum features exhibits of a wide range of insects, including butterflies and spiders. In the Butterfly Garden exhibit, I observed a variety of colorful butterflies as they flit about their habitat. The exhibit features a range of different butterfly species from around the world, and visitors can learn about the different stages of the butterfly life cycle, from egg to caterpillar to chrysalis to adult.

Another noticeable thing is that there is a spider zone where so many children were enjoying their exploration. I observed a range of spider species and also the different types of spider webs and the different hunting strategies that spiders use to catch their prey. the insect area has some robotic insects which often move their legs or wings which makes the place more attractive!

After more than 1 hour we have finished the animal planet and now we are going to the 2nd floor for the exploration. We didn't notice that the time is not enough to visit properly all the area here in one afternoon. So, we started moving faster to cover as much as possible. We have also seen many photos of many international and Chinese scientists all over the museum's wall everywhere which is another medium of increasing your knowledge!

Here first come the robotics world which is a really innovative zone and we have explored many types of robots doing several types of jobs from industrial jobs to playing piano and even playing games with people. Artificial intelligence and robotics evolution are gonna change the world in the future I get the true idea from this zone!

The next section of the 2nd floor was the information era and the home on earth. The Information Era exhibits a chance to explore the history and development of information technology. The exhibition hall features a range of displays and interactive exhibits, including a timeline of key milestones in the history of information technology such as the evolution of computer displays over history.

Also the wireless information technology aspects with the theories and some interactive games for the children to learn the basic concepts. The home on earth section was briefing some animals and their information and how they are in danger. We didn't spend too much time here as we need to move to the third floor for the rest of the exhibition halls.

Now it is time to move on to the 3rd floor which is the last section of the museum and we are on time as the clock is ticking at the closing time. But the good thing is that due to the holidays season the museum was open for another 1 hour and we had the chance to explore it properly by taking the time!

The first section we encounter on the third floor is the nuclear power plant concepts with solid descriptive components here. Also, many other scientific evolution and sectors are abruptly introduced all over the third floor which is a great place to grab knowledge on the most recent technological advancement of modern science.

The final section that we visited at Shanghai Science and Technology Museum is the Space Science exhibition area and it is a fascinating exploration of the mysteries of outer space and the cutting-edge technologies that allow us to study it. The exhibition area features a range of displays and interactive exhibits, including models of spacecraft and rockets, as well as simulations of space missions and the experience of traveling through space. I have seen the history of space exploration, from the first satellites to the Apollo moon landing, as well as the latest developments in space science.

I hope you like my blog on visiting the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum and I am inviting you to get the experience of my all tours in my upcoming blogs. And if you have any kinds of queries, you can ask me in the comments. I will try to answer at my level best.

Thanks a lot for your time and attention, I will catch you at the next one.
Have a great day!

Dear my friend @tanzil2024 !
For the first time, I found out that prices in Shanghai are more expensive than those in Beijing!
Maybe Shanghai is expensive because there are a lot of foreign tourists, I guessed!

I like the Museum of the Future and Space Science more than the statues of natural animals!

Thank you for article!

Yeah, I think so for many foreigners Shanghai may be a bit more expensive.
I liked the masterplan of the decorations inside the building whichbis attractive!
Thanks for reading my blog.

Wow, this is a great trip. The animals in the museum look so realistic. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Thanks for stopping by, yeah those animals are more realistic with their surroundings such as background paintings, lighting positon for proper shadows and the colors.
