Kota Beach, Bantayan Island
Because of the high heat here in the Philippines, we just want to take a dip in the water now that it's summer. Bantayan Island is located in Cebu's northernmost region. It has a wide range of white sand beaches, island hopping, cultural and historical infrastructures, caves, and many other attractions. We visited Bantayan three times last year and are still in awe of the island's beauty because it has so much to offer.
My favorite beach on Bantayan Island is Kota Beach. It can be found in Santa Fe just about 10 minutes from the port. It has a sandbar, but it only appears when the water level is already low. In the afternoon, you can also get a good view of the sunset from here. The water is crystal clear, and the white sand is incredibly fine. You don't have to worry because the beach is open to the public and free of charge, so there are no fees! It also has a long shoreline also that you can walk. It is located just in the front of Kota Beach Resort.

First Visit
This is our first visit together, which took place in June 2021. We are traveling alone because we want to enjoy and celebrate something, so we decided to go on a trip. It's already around 5 p.m. and we decided to take a stroll on the beach. We also stayed at the Kota Beach Resort, a well-known resort in Bantayan, where the Kota Beach is located. The location is very instagrammable, and you can see how lovely it is, especially at sunset. Also, the place is not crowded.
The next day, we decided to get up at 5:30 a.m. to enjoy the ocean breeze. We were the only ones on the beach at the time, as if it were a private one for us. It's wonderful to feel the ocean breeze, birds chirping, and leaves swinging. We were just taking in the scenery before we ate our breakfast. Look how wonderful the place is. 😍
Second Visit
This was in July 2021, along with John's cousins. After our day tour of the island, we decided to go to Kota Beach around 6 p.m. to watch the sunset and swim. According to the locals, it is not a good time to visit during this month because there is a lot of sea moss or lumot in the ocean, and the waves are very strong due to the winds, but we enjoyed it, which is why we don't have many pictures because the moment we arrived, we immediately dipped into the water and swam. As you can see, the sunset is breathtaking.
Third Visit
We decided to go to Bantayan with John's coworkers to celebrate his birthday in November 2021. We arrived in Kota Beach around 10 a.m. We didn't take many pictures because it was too hot. Despite the hot weather, we decided to take a dip in the water because it is so refreshing and cold. The beauty of it can be seen clearly in the photographs because the sun had already risen by that time. It's similar to Boracay, but the sands are different. The water and the weather by this time is so fine.
I hope you can visit Bantayan Island because it has a lot to offer. We're hoping to go back there this year to explore the area again. We should reward ourselves with a single trip for our hard work. Discover and enjoy the world. ❤️
