National Park "Restinga" Margarita Island - [ENG/ESP]

Hello fellow travelers, I hope everyone is doing great. Today I bring you information of one of the most important and beautiful national parks of Venezuela located in Margarita Island "Parque Nacional Laguna de la Restinga". This park is very touristic because its route is spectacular, but today I bring you only the complete information given at the entrance, since I could not find anywhere on the internet some things that I leave here.

Hola amigos viajeros, espero que todos estén super bien. Hoy les traigo información de uno de los Parques nacionales más importantes y hermosos de Venezuela situado en la Isla de Margarita “Parque Nacional Laguna de la Restinga”. Este parque es muy turístico ya que su recorrido es espectacular, pero el día de hoy les traigo únicamente la información completa que dan en la entrada, ya que no conseguía por ningún lado en internet algunas cosas que por aquí les dejo.

First I want to show you the entrance of the park where you can see a monument that says "I 💚 La Restinga" this monument is very particular in Venezuela, as in several cities they have it and it has become a place to enjoy with the family and take a nice souvenir when we visit the place.

Primero quiero mostrarles la entrada del Parque donde se aprecia un monumento que dice “Yo 💚 La Restinga” este monumento es muy particular en Venezuela, ya que en varias ciudades lo tienen y ya se volvió un espacio para disfrutar en familia y llevarse un recuerdo bonito cuando visitamos el lugar.

Then at the entrance we will find a very nice arch that says "Parque Nacional Laguna de la Restinga" with abundant vegetation and the schedule information on the left.

Luego en la entrada vamos a encontrar un arco muy bonito que dice “Parque Nacional Laguna de la Restinga” con una abundante vegetación y la información del horario a la izquierda.

Here you can see the detailed information where you can see the decree and the schedule every day from 8 am to 4 pm to make the tour of the lagoon, (later I will give you this information with the prices of the tour). I also liked that they have a guardhouse to house the staff and provide greater security for visitors and tourists.

Aquí se puede apreciar la información bien detallada donde sale el decreto y el horario todos los días desde las 8 de la mañana hasta las 4 de la tarde para hacer el recorrido por la laguna, (más adelante les daré esta información con los precios del paseo). También me gustó bastante que tienen una caseta de vigilancia para albergar al personal y brindar mayor seguridad a los visitantes y turistas.

This name "Inparques" is the National Parks Institute of Venezuela. It manages the entire system of national parks and monuments and life in protected areas to ensure a caring, respectful and peace-loving society. They say their objective is to "Contribute to the preservation of life on the planet and the salvation of the human species".

Este nombre de “Inparques” es el Instituto Nacional de Parques de Venezuela. Maneja todo el sistema de parques y monumentos nacionales y la vida en los espacios protegidos para garantizar una sociedad solidaria, respetuosa y amante de la paz. Dicen que su objetivo es "Contribuir con la preservación de la vida en el planeta y la salvación de la especie humana”.

Here I will explain the prices in U.S. Dollars that are handled in the National Park (In Venezuela the national currency is the bolivar and also the dollar). The value of the national pedestrian access is 1$ for adults and over 12 years old and for foreigners the price is 5$ and for vehicle access the price is 1,5$.

Por aquí les explicaré los precios en Dólares Estadounidense que se manejan en el Parque Nacional (En Venezuela se maneja la moneda nacional que es el bolívar y también el dólar). El valor del acceso peatonal nacional es de 1$ para adultos y mayores de 12 años y para extranjeros el precio es de 5$ y para acceso de vehículos el precio es de 1,5$.

The boat ride to enjoy the tour of the lagoon is 30 minutes and if you want to stay on the beach that is on the other side of the entrance, it would be $ 35 and if you just want to do the tour without staying on the beach and then go to pick you up would be $ 30. If you want a longer tour for 1 hour with beach it would be $45 and if it is just the tour it would be $40. This price is per boat and the maximum capacity for the boat is 5 people.

El paseo en lancha para disfrutar del paseo por la Laguna es de 30 minutos y si te quieres quedar en la playa que está al otro lado de la entrada, sería 35$ y si sólo quieres hacer el recorrido sin quedarte en la playa para que luego te vayan a buscar serían 30$. Si quieres un paseo más extenso por 1 hora con playa serian 45$ y si es solo el paseo serian 40$. Este precio es por lancha y la capacidad máxima para la lancha es de 5 personas.

I want to show you some of the spaces that the park has and how well preserved the facilities are, if you notice on the right hand side you will see a mural painted with the Virgin of the Valley. This virgin is the patron saint of the Venezuelan East and they have a lot of faith in the Island.

Les quiero mostrar un poco de los espacios que tiene el Parque y lo bien conservado que lo tienen las instalaciones, si se dan cuenta a mano derecha verán un mural pintado con la Virgen del Valle. Esta virgen es la patrona del Oriente venezolano y le tienen muchísima Fe en la Isla.

Here you can better appreciate the mural with iconic species of the island, such as seagulls, iguanas and above all the mountains and the sea. Since Margarita is more than beaches, it is also surrounded by huge mountains that give it that natural touch to enjoy.

Aquí pueden apreciar mejor el mural con especies icónicas del a Isla, como lo son las gaviotas, las iguanas y sobre todo las montañas y el
mar. Ya que Margarita es más que playas, también está rodeada de montañas enormes que le dan ese toque natural para disfrutar.

Then another one that you can appreciate is this boat that is at the entrance of the "Inparques" and it is a very nice monument to share some good photos and memories of the place.

Luego otro que pueden apreciar es este barco que está en toda la entrada del “Inparques” y es un monumento muy bonito para compartir unas buenas fotos y recuerdos del lugar.

For oyster lovers, you have to know that "La Restinga" is the only place where they are fished and sold in other parts of the island, so you will definitely get the best and freshest oysters of Margarita in the main place where they are caught. You can get the people who sell them at the end of this road and each dozen oysters count 2$.

Para los amantes de las Ostras, tienen que saber que “La Restinga” es el único lugar donde se pescan y se venden en otras partes de la Isla, por lo que sin duda vas a conseguir las mejores y más frescas ostras de Margarita en el lugar principal donde se sacan. Pueden conseguir las personas que las venden al final de este camino y cada docena de ostras cuentan 2$.

Then on the other side is the road where the boats are parked to go on this beautiful ride and one of the things I asked is if Luna my dog could go on the ride and they told me yes, so I took a picture to upload it to their networks on Instagram (in case you want to follow it is @lunaenmargarita). One of the things they told me was that since it was a National Park, pets could not enter, but since it was a community where there were pets, they allowed them to enter as long as their owners took care of them.

Luego esta del otro lado el camino donde se estacionan los barcos para recorrer este hermoso paseo y una de las cosas que pregunté es si Luna mi perrita podía ir en el paseo y me dijeron que sí, entonces aproveche y le tome una foto para subirla a sus redes en Instagram (por si la quieren seguir es @lunaenmargarita). Una de las cosas que me dijeron es que por ser un Parque Nacional no podían entrar mascotas pero al ser una comunidad donde habían mascotas, permitían la entrada siempre y cuando sus dueños se hicieran cargo de ellos.
